Destiny 2 has presented the important anti-champion mods for the new Season 15. These mods will play a crucial role in the endgame. Which weapon types will benefit from it and how it came to release, you will find out on MeinMMO.
These are the new artifact mods: Bungie is slowly starting the advertising campaign for the upcoming Season 15. They have revealed how you will soon tackle the hardest content in the game. The anti-champion mods and the corresponding weapon types have now been introduced:
- Auto Rifles: Barrier Champions
- Pulse Rifles: Unstoppable Champions
- Linear and Fusion Rifles: Unstoppable Champions
- Hand Cannons: Unstoppable Champions
- Bows: Overload Champions
- Swords: Overload Champions
To some guardians, the selection may seem rather suspicious, as there is only one anti-barrier mod. Will Bungie release more mods in Season 15?
This is how Bungie introduced the weapons for the endgame in Season 15
In a tweet from August 11, Destiny developer Bungie unveiled the new weapon mods for the last season before the major expansion Witch Queen.
The tweet shows five mods:
In their tweet, Bungie added that they forgot a mod, but concluded it with a saying.
All in all, a diverse mix of weapons that couldn’t be more different, but how did it come to publication?
Bungie wanted 7,777 likes but got 6 times that
Where does the information come from? The information comes directly from Bungie. Via Twitter, they made an offer to the guardians. If the guardians should manage to get 7,777 likes on the mentioned post, they will pre-release the new mods. The collected likes shot past the desired target within 5 minutes.
Why are these mods important for the endgame? In the endgame of Destiny 2, you encounter nasty champions and need suitable firepower – the anti-champion mods are essential for this. Whether it’s an unstoppable ogre in the grandmaster nightfall or an overload minotaur in the glass chamber, without these mods, you can hardly stun or stop them to send them to the virtual afterlife.
What is striking: The striking thing about it is that there is only a single anti-barrier mod and it is linked with an auto rifle. As usually a pulse or scout rifle was used to break barriers to maintain a safe distance from the enemy, it remains to be seen what Bungie had in mind.
The new and yet unnamed season starts on August 24, until then it remains to be seen whether Bungie will reveal any more information.
What do you think of the new mods that are coming our way? Are you also surprised that swords are now responsible for overload champions? Or do you find it boring again that hand cannons and no sidearms are assigned to unstoppable champions? Let us know. Tell us in the comments what you think about Bungie dictating the endgame meta with the artifact?
