Titan
Heart of the Sacred Fire – Chest Protection
This Exotic has been in the shadow of the Titan Exotic “Heart of Inner Light” for too long, according to Bungie. But starting in Season 22, it will likely be indispensable for Titans who want to leave sunspots everywhere.
- The increased recharge rate of Solar abilities will be removed in Season 22.
- A new ability will allow players to “invest more strongly in sunspots”.
- The ability to gain energy when your super is fully charged will remain.
ACD/0 Feedback Fence – Arm Protection
This Exotic will undergo a complete mechanical overhaul in Season 22. Bungie will incorporate the armor charge system here, increasing the versatility of the Exotic and making it more useful when you are not taking damage.
- Melee hits grant an armor charge, reducing the melee damage taken.
- Melee damage releases harmful Arc energy that jolts nearby targets.
- The damage from this harmful Arc energy is comparable to the current damage for 0–3 stacks of armor charges. Higher damage will consume charges.
Avalanche Cloak – Arm Protection
- Grants an increasing bonus for Stasis weapon damage with quick Stasis kills. When you activate your class ability, you immediately receive the highest tier bonus.
Fatebringer Shoulder Plate – Arm Protection
- Grants an increasing bonus for Void weapon damage with quick Void kills. When you achieve a Void melee kill, you immediately receive the highest tier bonus.
Path of Burning Steps – Leg Protection
- Solar grenade kills now grant the highest tier bonus for Solar weapon damage.
Eternal Warrior – Head Protection
- The duration of the Arc weapon damage bonus after the end of the Fist of Havoc super has been extended to 30 seconds, compared to only 10 seconds in the current Season 21.
Changes to abilities in Season 22
In addition to the revisions to these exotic Exo armors for Season 22, several abilities will also be adjusted.
Changes to “Strand”: Bungie will balance its latest “Strand” ability from Lightfall somewhat. Various aspects and fragments will be optimized, and the ability to “bind” enemies with Strand, rendering them immobile, will also be realigned.
Here, the shortened effect is particularly noteworthy, which players have so far used to continuously bind champions in tough challenges and thus immobilize them.
- In Season 22, the damage from Threadlings against PvE targets will be significantly increased
- But the duration and availability of “Binding” in PvE will also be reduced.
- The base suspension duration against non-champion PvE combatants will be reduced from 8 seconds to 5 seconds.
- If you use the “Thread of Continuity,” it will extend the effect in Season 22 by only 7 seconds, no longer 12 seconds.
- The base suspension duration against champions will even be reduced from 8 seconds to 3 seconds. With the “Thread of Continuity,” you can then only hold them still for a maximum of 4 seconds.
Here you will find 3 strong Strand builds for each class that the Destiny 2 editorial team has tested for you:
These restrictions await the Titans: The Stasis Titan will also have to make concessions and will receive three major nerfs in PvP as soon as Season 22 goes live.
- The Titan’s barricade is too strong, especially in high-level PvP activities. It will be adjusted based on player feedback as follows.
- Tower high barricade: The base cooldown for this barricade will increase from 48 seconds to 70 seconds in Season 22.
- For all barricades, the maximum health will be reduced from 600 to 500, with damage resistance increased against PvE enemies to compensate.
Bungie will also make changes to the Titan’s Arc ability in Season 22.
- The Titan’s “Thundercrash” super was designed as a one-time super play. Bungie had to admit that specifically the use in PvP requires an adjustment.
- The base cooldown for “Thundercrash” will increase from 500 to 556 seconds.
- The Titan Arc aspect “Knockout” will also be adjusted. The damage bonus against players has been reduced from 50 to 30.
These changes will not fully dethrone the Titans in PvP, as they still have access to a variety of powerful abilities. But it should balance the odds a bit against the Hunters and Warlocks again, especially after Bungie mentioned that in Season 22, the Warlock’s “Celestial Fire” will finally be fixed.
- The damage caused by “Celestial Fire” has not been counted as damage from Solar melee abilities until now.
- This issue has existed since Season 17, the “Season of the Haunted”.
When do the changes go live? Season 22 will begin on August 22, 2023, right after the big showcase of “The Final Shape.” And then players will be able to try out these changes in Destiny 2.
