Bungie will publish the “first digital fashion magazine” for Destiny 2 . Since our freelance author Christos Tsogos is also a fashion-conscious Guardian, he can hardly wait to see what ideas the community has on the subject of fashion and good taste.
Bungie announced: A Guardian fashion magazine for Destiny 2 is being created and will be published soon. It is called “Threads of Light” – about threads of light.
This magazine is a collection of stylish Guardians. The models come from the community and were gathered by Bungie and then published in style. The most fashionable, flamboyant, and best-looking players from Destiny will be honored in this magazine… that is, their digital Guardian avatars.
A fashion catalog that I take to heart
When it comes to fashion, I am an expert in Destiny 2. I’ve memorized all the shaders by now and know which colors go well together. Such a fashion faux pas, like with the Jacrini shader would never happen to me.
After my years of experience in Guardian fashion, I am pleased that finally more attention is being paid to the most important aspect of the game.
Because as is well known, “Fashion is the true endgame.” Therefore, I am pleased to see that Bungie honors diligent and fashion-conscious Guardians with this catalog.
If this catalog is published, I will definitely seek inspiration and take a look or two inside. Here is the announcement for “Threads of Light”:
I am not the only one who believes that fashion is the true endgame. Because the announcement post on Twitter already received over 10,000 likes and 422 comments.
Many are excited yet somehow not, as the work comes from the diligent community: user gibb (via Twitter) writes: “That [announcement] is somehow a complete surprise and not surprising at all from Bungie. I am very curious about what will be in it!”
This shows that many Guardians pay attention to their appearance. Destiny 2 offers many activities to pass the time. But since these activities eventually lose their shine, players prefer to focus on the appearance of their Guardian in the meantime and let their character shine.
Am I going to land in the spring collection?
I have developed a habit during the boring content droughts of Destiny 2, which consists of focusing on the design of my Guardian. This can sometimes be a simple adjustment or it can even turn into several hours of runway acrobatics. There are no limits to the design of one’s Guardian in this sense. Thanks to transmog!
What about the release of the fashion magazine in Destiny 2?
Not much is currently known. However, it is clear that the models will be immortalized with their gamer names. Additionally, you will see which shaders and armor pieces they use to achieve the cool look – perfect for replicating.
What do the Guardians think of this? Many players in the comments are looking forward to it and can hardly wait to get design suggestions for their Guardians. Even in the subreddit DestinyFashion, there is great excitement – here everything revolves around the look of the Guardian.
Most know the situation: You try to find matching shaders for your Guardian and then take the easiest route by applying any shader to all armor pieces.
There’s nothing wrong with that – the character doesn’t get weaker by doing so – but the true art lies in using different shaders and ornaments to achieve harmony in the overall look.
In any case, I am very curious about this catalog and look forward to gathering more inspirations. What do you think of this announcement? Do you find the idea of a fashion magazine cool or is your look completely unimportant? Let us know in the comments!
