The MMO shooter Destiny 2 will likely be released on PC later than on PS4 and Xbox One. September 8, 2017 is not the official release date for the PC version of Destiny 2.
Surprise late at night. Until now, it was assumed that September 8 would be the release date of Destiny 2 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. That is not the case.
Destiny 2 currently has no release date for PC, says Game Director Luke Smith to “PC Gamer”. They have not yet settled on a PC release date.
Bungie wants to ensure that the PC port is as good as possible. They aim to achieve this through the partnership with Blizzard.
Let it bake in the oven until the PC version is delicious
Bungie wants to “give it time in the oven” until it is a delicious piece of bread when the version is released.
Smith says he cannot yet say for sure how much the PC version of Destiny 2 will be delayed. Bungie plans to announce a release date in the coming weeks.
This news raises concerns about whether a beta for the PC will be ready in time. How long will PC players have to wait until they can get their hands on Destiny 2 for the first time?

No one can stand it when they feel their version is being “disadvantaged.” There will surely be some typing, “Then I won’t play it at all“. Just the statement that Destiny 2 will not come to Steam prompts some PC gamers to such postings.
If Destiny 2 appears later on PC, much that is new would be known through the console versions: The thrill of the release, entering undiscovered land, would be endangered.
Not a good situation for Destiny 2 on PC. A “weak port” under pressure would be just as bad.
