These listed Solar changes will go live with hotfix 4.1.0.2 next week. Also, check in with Ikora. She is now also selling the last two fragments for your Solar super.
What will happen to the Iron Banner now? The Iron Banner has been transformed into a big event and will disappear for many weeks after the weekly reset on June 7. Bungie thus has enough time to adjust the listed bugs before the last Iron Banner of Season 17. Until then, Guardians will probably continue to struggle with the issues over the weekend.
What do you think of the terse TWaB regarding the Iron Banner? Would you have liked more information about upcoming adjustments, or are you even looking forward to the Solar 3.0 changes? Let us know in the comments!
The new TWaB from Destiny 2 has been revealed and many players hope that Bungie will finally address the serious issues in the tough PvP mode “Iron Banner”. But instead of naming upcoming changes, first the PvE is polished.
What’s going on in Destiny 2 right now? The Iron Banner is burning and the players too, as with the new mode “Rift” many Guardians had to change their play style to team play and also fight against many bugs.
Bungie mentioned nothing about a quick hotfix for the issues in the Iron Banner event in the official blog post. However, dmg04, the Community Manager, gave players hope on Twitter. The team might possibly offer some solutions before the current Iron Banner event ends. This has now happened.
The following quick fixes have just been brought into the game by Bungie:
– Challenges now grant reputation bonuses as intended, up to a maximum of 4 daily challenges.
– Due to this problem, double Iron Banner reputation was activated for all players until the weekly reset.
– The emblem “Heavy as Death” now correctly contributes to the Iron Banner reputation bonuses.
– Step 5 of the “Forging Iron” quest now continues correctly even when Iron Banner ornaments are equipped.

Countless matches have either been won or lost decisively, and players are complaining about brutal bugs that make a relaxed and smooth match impossible. These problems include the following:
- Unfair matchmaking – Mostly fights against 6-man teams that tear you apart
- Teleport bug where you are stuck in a black screen
- The spark disappears and can no longer be picked up
- Various visual bugs during teleportation
These problems are so severe that fans of the loot shooter are resorting to threats against the developers. Therefore, players hoped that Bungie would finally list fixes in the new TWaB and plan them in advance, as the current Iron Banner event is ending soon. However, the development team is focusing, according to the latest announcements we know, primarily on PvE.
Solar 3.0 will be improved first
Bungie reports on the Iron Banner and clarifies how the new mode is intended. A focus on team play, where most kills are not the winning factor, but the cohesion of the squad.
It has been explained how to earn the most Iron Banner rank points and that Bungie’s team is working on the reported bugs and issues.
But whether and when these errors will be fixed was not mentioned. Instead, Bungie first addresses Solar 3.0 and at least offers adjustments for various classes there soon.
Were there problems with Solar 3.0? The Solar 3.0 praised by Bungie led to disillusionment for many Guardians, and Bungie acknowledged that the new abilities “didn’t blow anyone’s face off.” Especially, Warlocks suffer from the adjustments and nerfs of the fiery class.

Where once a Well of Light provided an overshield, it now only regenerates your health. With Solar 3.0, the Warlock has thus been dethroned from his support throne. However, this is set to change with the upcoming adjustments.
Bungie has announced the following changes for the Warlock and Titan:
- Warlock
- Aspect adjustment – Heat Wave
- Consuming your grenade unleashes a wave of restoration on you and your allies. Consuming a healing grenade enhances the healing effect. If you even use the aspect “Flaming Touch” and then consume a healing grenade, you will receive ongoing regeneration and additional bonuses.
- Aspect adjustment – Icarus Dash
- Enemies killed by your weapons or super while you are in the air heal you.
- Super adjustment – Dawnblade
- Each projectile of the Dawnblade adds 10 Scorch stacks to your enemies. This effect can be increased to 15 stacks with the fragment “Ember of Ashes”.
- Aspect adjustment – Heat Wave
- Titan
- Super adjustment – Brandhammer
- Damage is increased by 25% in PvE
- Aspect adjustment – Roaring Flames
- While Roaring Flames is active, your uncharged melee applies Solar damage to your enemies. Additionally, you can leave your enemies with 30 stacks of Scorch per melee, which can be increased to 40 stacks if you have the fragment “Ember of Ashes” equipped.
- Aspect adjustment – Consecration
- You can carry two fragments. The second flame shockwave of your melee is increased by 25%. This allows you to hit your enemies more safely who do not manage to dodge in time.
- Super adjustment – Brandhammer
