A massive puzzle in the new Warmind expansion has kept the community busy for days in Destiny 2. Now the riddle is solved. In addition to possible details about the Stranger, a mysterious Exo from Destiny 1, there was also a cool reward. But only one Guardian takes it.
Big puzzle solved. As we reported recently, the Destiny community has been engaged in a tricky riddle of enormous proportions over the past few days. The so-called “Rasputin’s Chamber Puzzle” kept fans on their toes even outside the game.
The last step of the puzzle has now been deciphered and the riddle solved. In addition to possible information about the Exo Stranger from Destiny 1, the last step also contained coordinates where a cool reward could be found.
The mystery of the “Rasputin’s Chamber Puzzle” is unveiled
The puzzle: The gigantic puzzle originated in Rasputin’s chamber, which made its way to Destiny 2 as part of the Warmind DLC. The starting point of the puzzle was a complex symbol that was found on the wall of Rasputin’s bunker.
There are 6 different symbols visible. Each symbol represented a step of the extensive riddle. Each of these puzzle pieces had to be approached and deciphered differently.
Among other tasks, it involved hunting ingame symbols and linking them to each other. The community then created words from them, which served as key-words for the deciphering of further steps. A Morse code also had to be deciphered and Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake had to be reinterpreted.
All these steps formed a kind of guide to resolving the sixth and final puzzle part. On a monitor with the final lock symbol, seemingly random lines were once again visible.
While the 5 individual parts were relatively quickly deciphered on their own, it took a lot of time to link them all together in such a way that this last part of the riddle could also be interpreted. The community has now accomplished this.
The result: Deciphered, these lines yield a text. In it, the author thanks initially for deciphering the riddle.
Then it speaks of an upcoming final conflict in which you and Ana Bray will play an important role. Therefore, you are asked to watch over Ana Bray.
After that, the author of the message mentions that he or she would have had no life without Ana and the Exo program. The author now regrets becoming a stranger, but everyone has their own path to take. And ironically, there is never enough time.
Finally, you are asked to inform Ana that Rasputin’s first attempt took place in the right place but at the wrong time. You are now to search at the following coordinates: 43.549573, -73.544868.
Identity of the Exo Stranger revealed after 4 years?
What do the fans think? Large parts of the community are now sure: The author of this message is most likely Elsie Bray – Ana Bray’s sister. Many fans are now also convinced through the content of the deciphered text: Elsie Bray is also the Exo Stranger – the famous stranger from Destiny 1.
There are some hints from the lore and items in Destiny 2 that suggest this. One of the most prominent features is a symbol that both the stranger and Ana carry.

The riddle itself was very positively received by the Guardian community. It is said that this puzzle mobilized a lot of players who worked tirelessly hand in hand to uncover the secret. According to the words of many fans, Destiny 2 has been sorely missing such special moments until now. Large parts of the community now hope that there will be more secrets of this caliber in the future.
What was the reward? Once the coordinates from the last puzzle part became known, it didn’t take long for fans to find it on Earth – and not in the European Dead Zone, the Cosmodrome, or on the Tower, but in a national park in the state of New York.
A Reddit user involved in the deciphering was very pleased to discover that he lived almost around the corner from the marked location and immediately set off after the coordinates became known. And the trip was worth it:
Besides a thank you letter from Vicarious Visions, there were a lot of “Three of Coins” and other fan goodies in the Warmind style.
However, the absolute highlight was a life-sized Valkyrie spear from the Warmind expansion.
This weapon found a new owner here on Earth. Although only one Guardian was rewarded for the great efforts of the entire community in the end, most fans are still happy and celebrate the action and the ecstatic finder of the grand prize.
