In Destiny 2, player Esoterickk is considered an exceptional talent. Now he shares 9 tips that he is always asked about during his videos, which not everyone knows.
Who is Esoterickk? Esoterickk is a streamer and is as well-known in the Destiny community as a colorful dog. He has made a name for himself by mastering even the hardest activities solo. Eso is regarded as one of the best, if not the best PvE player, and continues to astound us average guardians:
- Raid and dungeon bosses are taken down solo and sometimes even without weapons
- If a new activity goes live and players are struggling, Eso has already completed it solo
In addition to his breathtaking heroic feats, Esoterickk regularly publishes tricks. MeinMMO presents his new video (via YouTube), in which he shares 9 little tips that he is often asked about.
Tip 1 – Use Anti-Barrier Rounds correctly: Weapons with the Anti-Barrier Rounds mod not only bring down elemental shields faster but also easily penetrate other defenses. You can deal damage to:
- Vex Hydras
- Kabal Phalanxes
- Hive Knights with shields
- Pagouri in the Menagerie
- Crouched Vex Goblins
even if they hide behind their otherwise impenetrable cover and are immune. Even Raid bosses like Argos are not immune.
Tip 2 – Identify when a Champion is vulnerable: In many endgame activities, you need to deal with Champions. These can be interrupted with the right tactics and perks, but will then become temporarily immune.
A new attack against “Unstoppable Champions” and “Overload Champions” is only worthwhile when their accessories stop glowing white.
- For the Ogre, the antlers must no longer glow
- If the chains around the Minotaur’s chest glow white, save your shot
Tip 3 – Champions adapt to the difficulty: Like other enemies, Champions have more health and deal more damage on higher difficulty levels.
- The annoying enemies also have a faster regeneration
- They can be interrupted noticeably for shorter periods, the tougher the mission
Therefore, it is not a good idea to simply charge at a Champion with a sword on Nightfall. But now you know when you can reliably interrupt the Colossus again.

Tip 4 – Titan Bubbles have a secret effect: The “Shade of Dawn” of the Sentinel is better known as “the Bubble”. Under the dome, you find protection, receive an overshield, and a buff on weapon damage.
But did you also know that you receive a grenade for free upon activation?
Especially the Void grenades of the Sentinel are very useful in Season 11, as they can debuff enemies with “Constraining Darkness”. However, those using the exotic healing armor should be warned: A second grenade charge is not provided with this trick.
