Season 10 of Destiny 2 is just around the corner. Finally, we know what to expect starting March 10th. Read about the dangers we will face in PvE, what the next 3 months will look like, and what we know about new Exotics.
What’s coming in Destiny 2: The currently ongoing Season 9 is coming to an end. All eyes are turned to the future and Season 10, which starts on March 10.
The official name is: Season of Worthy. That the Trials are making their return has been known for some time, but what will keep the Guardians entertained outside of PvP was a mystery until now. We take a look at the roadmap and content of the next chapter.
Roadmap for the Season of Worthy
While the Guardians have prevented the Cabal from manipulating the timeline with the Sundial, new threats lie in wait in the Orbit. This time you will have to
partner with the dangerous Warmind Rasputin to gain control of the situation.
New Content of Season 10 in March
March 10 – New PvE Activity: The kickoff of the new season is marked by the so-called “Seraph Tower event”. Bungie says: “Join other Guardians and prepare Rasputin’s defense in public events together.”
Additionally, another PvE activity called “Seraph Bunker” will start. The Destiny developer describes the activity as follows: “Grow with Rasputin’s challenge and clear bunkers throughout the system to restore communication with the Warmind.”
Furthermore, legendary Lost Sectors will go live. From this activity, you will receive new seasonal legendary weapons and armor (for Season Pass holders).
March 13 – The Trials begin: On Friday the 13th, the PvP highlight begins. You can compete with the best of the best right away on the first weekend. It seems that the new Trials of Osiris will launch with a popular host: Saint-14.
It has been confirmed that the Trials will take place every weekend and will be available to all Guardians. There will be a power level requirement. You must have reached at least Power Level 960 to participate.
Also, we now know that seven victories in a row are required to visit the Lighthouse. However, during PvP matches, there will be top gear available.
March 24 – New Bunkers come: You can look forward to additional “Seraph Bunkers” throughout the season. New locations ETZ and the Moon are being added.
New Content for Destiny 2 in April
April 21 – Nightfall Difficulty: The Nightfall Strikes are already not easy at the highest difficulty settings. If that’s not enough for you, look forward to “Grandmaster: Fire Test.”
New endgame rewards and a seal are supposed to be included. We expect that a new title for PvE or the Vanguard will also be coming along.
A competition awaits you: From April 21 to May 11, the “Guardian Games” will take place. The roadmap describes the event as a “class competition” and promises legendary armor.
April 7 – New Bunker: Another Bunker will be made accessible to players on Io. At the same time, new legendary Lost Sectors will come into play. (for Season Pass holders)
Additional content is expected to be announced soon. The Season of Worthy is set to end on June 9.
Exotics and Additional Content of Season 10
These Exotics are coming: The exotic weapons and armor are, alongside the great gunplay, the hallmark of Destiny 2. In Season 10, you can look forward to a few new gems:
- The Exotic shotgun “4th Horseman” has been officially confirmed
- The auto rifle “Tommy’s Matchbox” is coming
- An exotic LMG is briefly seen in the trailer
- An exotic quest has been announced. Whether this will concern a still secret exotic or if it’s indeed the 4th Horseman is not yet known (for Season Pass holders).
A new Season Pass is included: As in the past two seasons, you can unlock additional loot in the form of seasonal weapons, cosmetics, boosts, and armor, along with various other nice touches with the Season Pass.
There will again be a free track that allows every Guardian to earn rewards for rank ups. Buyers of the premium variant will get all content of Season 10 and significantly more items from the Season Pass for 1000 Silver.
This is the seasonal artifact: In a new season, a new artifact is also a must. This time, the powerful item will be named Warmind Spire.
As the name suggests, it visually resembles a short sword, adorned with Warmind ornaments. You will soon receive detailed information regarding the artifact from us.
More Content from Season 10
This is additionally expected: Alongside the content introduced here, the new season also brings:
- new Triumphs
- new Lore entries
- weekly Rasputin challenges (for Season Pass holders)
- new weapons
- new cosmetics – including exotic emotes, ghosts, ornaments, and finishers
- new bounties
- Overhauls of the sandbox and patches
Together with the official announcement, Bungie released a cool trailer. In it, you can see many of the contents in action and surely discover a hidden detail or two:
