In Destiny 2 Bungie presents the new season tonight, December 4th, at 7:00 PM, in the stream. It is to be released on December 10th for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Stadia. We at MeinMMO will provide a live ticker in German and give you the most important new information from the stream.

Destiny 2 Live Ticker
7:40 PM: DeeJ says there will be no “Two Token and a blue” moment. He will not talk about loot – players are to discover it themselves.
There is to be a lore entry every day until the weekly reset on December 10th, when the season starts. The stream ends.
The word “Trials” was not mentioned during the stream.
7:36 PM: The Sundial is a 6-player activity with matchmaking, but it can also be entered with a pre-made team.
The heroic mode will only be available for pre-made teams.
In the “dark timeline,” the Cabal have won and learned how to use the Light as a weapon.
Sundial is supposed to provide varied action, to be different each week
7:29 PM: A 6-player team will now play Sundial, the new 6-player activity in Destiny 2. Cozmo will take over – DeeJ famously hasn’t touched a controller since the “incident.”
The inspiration for Sundial was “Timecops stop Time-Crimes,” says one designer. Timecop is a 90s action movie starring Jean-Claude van Damme.
The Sundial itself was inspired by “nautical instruments from the 18th century.”
DeeJ explains: Players do not know what to expect in Sundial when they step through. There are different timelines: a dark timeline shows what happens when “we fail.”

7:26 PM: Players can use Sparrows on Mercury with the new season (!)
Bungie talks about “Rusted Lands.” The big elephant in the room: “Trials” – which are not mentioned at all here.
7:22 PM: Bungie introduces a new artifact, “The Lantern of Osiris.” The artifact is supposed to play an important role in Sundial.
In season 9, Bungie focuses on long-range weapons and solar abilities.
There are some new mods, such as “Guardian Angel,” which grants a chance for healing orbs when precision kills are achieved.
The Armor 2.0 system has been improved – armor now has a new season symbol. New mods will come during the season with the mechanic “Charge with Light” – the mechanic is supposed to affect Destiny as a whole.
There is now a playlist with up to 9 finishers for finishers. You can set 9, and then a random finisher comes when you execute it. They introduce the “Kellbreaker” as a new finisher, a nasty headbutt.
7:18 PM: DeeJ has new guests with him. Now it is about how to keep Destiny 2 alive.
What guardians are currently doing in the current season is recorded by Osiris, who reacts to it, leading to season 9. Players are supposed to feel that their actions in Destiny 2 directly influence the ongoing story.
DeeJ speaks of an “existing story” on which guardians have a lasting influence.
Bungie says players also have an influence because they look directly at and respond to player feedback, at least to some of it. They can now react more quickly to player feedback than before at Bungie.
Roadmap for late 2019/early 2020 for Destiny 2
7:17 PM: Destiny 2 shows a new roadmap for the rest of 2019 and early 2020. We will break this down in a separate article on MeinMMO.
7:15 PM: The narrative lead now says for the 3rd time that Saint-14 is dead and that we need to solve the problem. They show a central new piece of “concept art” that revolves around Saint-14.
Apparently, the image shows armor and weapons that players should bring back to the “honestly dead” Titan.
7:11 PM: Saint-14 is at the center of attention: This is a character that players wanted to know more about since Destiny 1, says Jon To: “It’s just a shame that he is currently dead.”
Saint-14 is probably the most righteous character that has been created in Destiny 2. That often gets him into trouble, which is probably how he died.
7:09 PM: The setting is back to the normal studio, no longer the “hall” like last time. Joining DeeJ are

7:07 PM: To start, Bungie shows the new trailer again. 43,778 viewers are on Twitch.
7:02 PM: DeeJ with the traditional mic check. This has become much more professional over the years – just like some aspects of Bungie’s communication. They now even have a community manager for Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
6:59 PM: The stream officially starts at 7:05. There is currently a countdown running.

The actual season 9, “Season of Dawn,” starts on December 10, 2019, and will run until March 9, 2020.
