The start for the preload of Destiny 2 is known. Soon you will be able to download the game data before the release.
Bungie released “This Week at Bungie”. It covers the important dates leading up to the launch of Destiny 2.
Next week, some Bungie employees – like Community Manager DeeJ – will be at gamescom. At this convention, new things about Destiny 2 will be revealed. Not only will they promote it, but they also have tasty information for hardcore fans.
At the end of August, the PC beta of Destiny 2 will take place and immediately afterwards, at the beginning of September, Bungie will be at PAX West. At PAX, Destiny 2 will be playable. You should bring an appetite for exotic loot. There may be new details about the Exotics shortly before the “Destiny 2” release.
For all Guardians who pre-ordered digitally, this date is probably the most interesting: Next week, the preload begins!
Preload of Destiny 2 – Start, Dates on PS4, Xbox One
According to Bungie, the preload for Guardians who pre-ordered Destiny 2 digitally starts on these dates:
- Xbox One: Preload begins early next week (no specific date yet, Bungie will notify)
- PS4: Preload starts a week later, on August 31 (Thursday)
Destiny 2 will also have a “Day 1” patch. This will be released shortly before the launch. The game director Luke Smith announced this patch two months ago at E3. Because Bungie is always working on Destiny 2. Even though the discs are already burned, they will continue to fine-tune Destiny 2 and therefore be able to provide a “Day 1” update.
Note: You only have until August 23 to choose the desired clan settings on Bungie.net. If your clan founder has not yet become active, make sure to contact them.
