In Destiny 2 there is now a build that lets you easily withstand damage in PvE. We will tell you how to become the indestructible tank and really clean up.
What kind of build is this? We present you a combination with which you will become nearly immortal in Destiny 2. The build works for all classes and makes them such strong tanks that you are barely killable even in endgame PvE.
The build is not difficult to play and is quite simple to reconstruct. You only need some knowledge about “Seventh Seraph” weapons and the new War Mind cells. If you need a refresher on this, you will find it in our guide:
This is what you need for the tank build: You should have at least one of the new Seraph weapons equipped. Additionally, armor with a “Season of Worthy” mod slot is needed. Both can be obtained, among others, through the current season pass or via Rasputin’s Seraph Bunker.
These two mods are required:
- Protective Energy – Grants you an overshield that continuously renews itself (Location: Seraph Bunker)
- War Mind Protection – Enemies deal less damage near War Mind Cells (Location: Seraph Tower Event)
To make the build even more effective, the following mods are also recommended:
- War Mind Light – When you collect a War Mind Cell, you will be charged with Light (Location: Seraph Bunker)
- Rasputin’s Blessing – Increases the chance to create War Mind Cells after kills with Seraph weapons (Location: Seraph Tower Event)
- Protective Light – (Location: Obelisk mod from Season 9)
Install the mods in your armor and all preparations are complete.
This is how to play the build correctly: You can not only shoot and blow up the explosive War Mind Cells, but also collect them. This function grants you high endurance thanks to the selected mods.
Every time you collect a cell, you receive an overshield for 20 seconds. This shield automatically recharges. Now you can wreak havoc on the battlefield without risk and generate more War Mind Cells through kills. Do not collect the cells immediately, because enemies deal significantly less damage near the cells.
Only when your overshield timer runs out is it time to refresh it with a cell. If you somehow still go into the red health zone, your Light charge activates automatically and almost certainly prevents you from dying.
According to PvE expert Ehroar, this build is “complete overkill in most activities” (via YouTube) and is also useful for endgame. He can imagine how useful this will be in the new mode of the Crucible.
Does this only work in Season 10? Fortunately not. The build should also work in the next seasons of Destiny 2. As long as you unlock the seasonal mods now, you can also use them in the future. Only the mods from the artifact will disappear with the start of Season 11.
