One of the last great mysteries of the Warmind expansion for Destiny 2 is the whereabouts of the exotic weapon Polaris Lance. So far, no one has obtained Ana Bray’s new scout rifle. Fans are now speculating how to acquire this weapon. However, there is a theory that seems to be gaining traction.
So far, five new exotic weapons have been confirmed to have entered Destiny 2 with the Warmind expansion. Fans have already figured out how to get the SUROS Regime, the submachine gun Huckleberry, the sword Worldline Zero, and the linear fusion rifle Sleeper Simulant.

However, there is still no concrete information about the whereabouts of the exotic scout rifle Polaris Lance. There have been many speculations. Most of them have, however, either been disproved or discarded.
For example, one of the most prominent theories suggested that you might receive Ana’s weapon if you collect all 40 Sleeper Nodes. However, this theory has not proven to be true. Completing this collection task only rewards you with an emblem. This has already been confirmed by some diligent collectors.
Another theory, on the other hand, seems to be gaining more and more support among fans.
Where is the Polaris Lance? This is what the community suspects

An already known quest is in focus. A large part of the community now agrees that the Polaris Lance is connected to the quest series “Coming Twilight.” This task also serves as a mid-step towards the Sleeper Simulant.
The following factors support this: As soon as you complete the world quest “Data Recovery” and obtain the IKELOS_HFW_V1.0.1 hand cannon from Ana, you will receive not only the first step for the Sleeper Simulant but also another quest – Coming Twilight 1/5.
This quest prepares you for the search for the Sleeper Nodes. After completing it, the Sleeper Quest continues, although Coming Twilight 1/5 is considered completed.

Based on the name, fans already suspected that it could be a 5-part quest series. They were then able to find it in the Destiny 2 database.
It is indeed a series of tasks consisting of 5 individual steps. In this task chain, you will help Ana gradually explore her past. However, after completing the first part, the quest does not progress further for now.
No one knows how to trigger or obtain these additional task steps yet. Fans speculate about potential time limits – for example, only one quest step per week – or specific in-game achievements that need to be fulfilled.

The most important hint is provided by the very last step of Coming Twilight 5/5. This part is noted there with the following words: “This module is exhausted. Ana will continue to tinker with it, but because you have restored her memories, she has a finished work for you, which she calls the “production model” of the rifle prototype she had given you.”
On the one hand, it clearly shows that you must have previously received a rifle prototype. Most likely, this will be the legendary BrayTech RWP Type II scout rifle. This scout visually resembles the Polaris Lance identically. Whether you need to develop the prototype further, as was the case with the Necrochasm in Destiny 1, is unknown.
On the other hand, according to the quest description, you will end up with a production model of this prototype. This will likely be the Polaris Lance.
What do you think? Is this the way to the Polaris Lance? And how do you get to the next step of this quest series?
