In Destiny 2 many players struggle against the new raid boss, but with a harmless emote, it can be outsmarted.
Many players struggle against it: On November 21, the new raid from Beyond Light opened its gates. Guardians can venture into the Deep Stone Crypt and once again save the world.
This is far from easy. Although the first players claimed the glorious World’s First after 6 hours, many non-professionals are currently struggling with this endgame activity. The culprit is the very complex mechanics and tricky bosses of the raid for a shooter.
This is how players outsmart the final boss: The final boss fight in the Deep Stone Crypt takes place in an open area. To ensure players never feel safe, the boss unleashes a veritable meteor shower. The only remedy is to take flight, as a hit is lethal.
Unless, of course, one stays “cool”. Players have now discovered that they can simply withstand the meteor shower by freezing themselves through an emote.
- For spoiler reasons, you don’t see the raid boss in the title image, but the villainess Eramis.
Check out the situation here in the video:
Pretty absurd, as the emote actually shows how defenseless a frozen Guardian is. While his teammates are dying like flies, 2 Guardians remain motionless and withstand up to 7 of the insta-kills.
This emote makes it possible:
- To freeze your Guardian in place, you need the gesture “Freeze Tag”.
- Pre-order bonuses were available until November 23 for those who chose at least the Deluxe Edition
- Here, MeinMMO explains to you where to find your items and bonuses from pre-orders in the game.
In Destiny 2, emotes are officially called gestures. They do not provide any game-changing advantages but allow the character to perform a fun dance or a specific animation.
Well, they are not supposed to affect the game. But gestures often cause trouble:
- Emote bug makes players invulnerable ghosts – Bungie responds immediately
- A silly emote lets players walk through walls
- But even without bugs, emotes cause frustration in PvP – as they allow players to peek around corners in third person and gain an informational advantage.
Those who fear that freezing oneself and standing still is the answer to all fights are mistaken. It currently seems that this only works in the final raid fight and only with this emote.
If you want to properly freeze your opponents, you need the new Stasis powers. Here, we show you how to earn the latest upgrade: Find all entropy fragments – Here’s how to obtain the 2nd Stasis aspect
