Destiny 2 plagues players with some issues at the release of Shadowkeep. A rare problem causes new players to have to delete their character at the start.
Who is affected by the character deletion? Only Guardians who have recently started with Destiny 2 yesterday, on the 30th of October, shortly before the reset and downtime are affected.
If these players start Destiny 2 today, their character may find itself at Power Level 0. New and returning Guardians should actually be automatically boosted to Power Level 750, so they can dive into new adventures together.
What can be done about it? Apparently, it is not possible to correct this error. Bungie communicated the following: Affected players will have to delete the corresponding character.

Since it was a very small time window, hopefully not too many people are affected by the problem.
Other known issues
There are more known issues that Bungie is diligently working on. However, none of them have such serious effects:
- The Lunafaction Boots of the Warlock incorrectly still have their old description. They do not automatically reload your weapon despite in-game text, but merely increase the reload speed.
- Do not dismantle any quest steps from Eris, otherwise you may have to wait a week to resume the quest. It is best to complete all bounties and quest steps normally and ensure you have enough inventory space.
- During the Nightfall, a warning is displayed to the host if they do not have certain mods equipped. This does not apply to other fireteam members or their loadouts.
- Some scannable objects on the Moon are not being counted correctly for Triumphs.

- Do not abandon the Nessus questline, you currently cannot regain it.
- The trophy/achievement “Show me what you have” cannot be obtained by veterans, that is, returning players, if you already have 3 characters.
Furthermore, veterans cannot start the EDZ quest “Enhanced!” - Redrix’s Claymore: Only daily Crucible bounties provide progress for the quest step “The Constant”.
- The strike playlist gives progress for different Exo quests as planned; direct selection from orbit does not currently count for this.
- There is an issue with inspecting your Crucible engrams in the preview. It incorrectly states that you need to own Forsaken. That is not the case.
We hope you have a good and as smooth start into Shadowkeep and are not plagued by issues. Please write in the comments if complications arise.
