In Destiny 2 a certain Exotic has been causing trouble for quite some time. The popular Titan boots “Dunemarchers” suffer from a bug that is being exploited by many players. We show you how Bungie has now responded.
This Exotic is meant: The Dunemarchers are exotic Titan boots. They boost your sprint speed. While sprinting, you charge a shockwave that you can trigger with melee attacks.
This shockwave chains to surrounding enemies and ideally results in dead Guardian groups. Many players have noticed this, and thus they are finally demanding a fix, as it is long overdue.
The Exotic perk of the Exotic is broken and has been causing trouble in PvP for a long time
How severe is the bug? These boots are broken and have been for some time. Therefore, Guardians asked on Reddit why Bungie has not fixed the bug yet. To illustrate the extent of this bug, we embedded a video from YouTube:
These boots can cause damage to nearby enemies, which is acceptable, but the fact that someone can take out 3 Guardians with just one melee is not desired. It is important, however, that this bug cannot be triggered with every melee attack. You must hope as a Titan that the right jump works this time.
Bungie finally spoke up: On the Destiny Reddit, a post went viral, asking when the fix will finally be rolled out. Many Guardians have been struggling with it for a long time.
It is even better that the community manager dmg04 has finally commented on this:
Apparently, the team is working on some fixes for a future patch. […] As soon as we have more information, we will inform you.
dmg04 reported via Reddit
Continuously, he also addresses the question of why it took so long to fix this bug. dmg04 replied that this error does not occur as frequently as other bugs.
The error was known within the team, and dmg04 himself mentioned that he was occasionally killed by this bug, but it still does not happen often. Therefore, this error was not pursued for a certain period.
How do players react? Players are thrilled that someone from Bungie’s side finally speaks up. However, many want the boots to be freed from the bug rather than nerfed. As one user mentioned on Reddit:
Hopefully, they are just bug fixes for the Dunemarchers and not a nerf.

Players not only use this Exotic in PvP. They also find their place in PvE. With them, many ads can be sent to the virtual afterlife with just one melee. However, it is difficult for Bungie that they do not separate the nerfs for PvE and PvP. Therefore, it remains to be seen what changes these boots will undergo.
Have these boots terrorized you in the Crucible as well? Let us know what you think about a nerf or bug fix for this Exotic.
