What’s wrong with the loading times? Destiny 2, like many games, occasionally struggles with balance or long-term motivation. But especially one problem is driving players to tear their hair out: the absurdly long loading times.
As the game grew larger over the years, loading times became longer. The current season topped this. A trip to the Tower, the social hub, sometimes took up to 10 minutes.

Some Guardians joke and say that they could make coffee or vacuum during the endlessly long arrival sequences. The sad part is that it probably isn’t even a joke.
But it’s not just during the landing process in the always overcrowded Tower hangar that the delays drive you to despair. Even in the inventory and character menu, the gaming flow is abruptly disrupted.
“Shouldn’t the stuttering in the Mod menu be fixed? For me, it stutters worse than ever before,” writes MeinMMO reader no12playwith2k3.
Season of the Worthy brings hope
This is what Bungie says about it: In the TWAB from February 28, the Destiny developer commented with a solution. With the start of Season 10 on March 10, the “Tower loading times will be normal again.”
Bungie does not currently go into detail about the problem or the solutions. However, the other performance issues like stuttering in the menu are known to the developer and are on the to-do list.
Some players additionally blame instancing for the long loading times (via Reddit). For some time now, you land in Destiny simultaneously with your teammates in PvP or even the Tower. The game adjusts to the “slowest” Guardians.
