The community of Destiny 2 is currently celebrating a player for defeating the powerful final boss of the current raid solo. Even Bungie praises his achievement.
What an achievement! The YouTuber and streamer “BogOnMyDog” took on a special challenge. He wanted to defeat the Witness solo, meaning without the help and firepower of other Guardians.
In total, “BogOnMyDog” invested two weeks into the challenge. During this time, he was almost constantly online on Twitch. About 150 hours were reportedly spent on the project by the content creator. Ultimately, he was able to defeat the Witness and shared a video of his success on YouTube.
During the fight, “BogOnMyDog” played as a Hunter. A key element in his build was the exotic sniper “Never-Ending Hunt”.
The final boss of all final bosses
Why is this special? “BogOnMyDog” challenged the Witness in the latest raid of Destiny 2, “The Final Shape”, to a final dance. The raid was introduced with the current expansion “The Final Shape”.
The Witness is like the final boss of all final bosses in Destiny 2. He is the big villain against whom the Guardians unite and engage in an epic battle. The fight against the Witness concludes the saga of Light and Darkness that has defined the story of the loot shooter over the past 10 years.
Defeating this powerful adversary solo is thus not only a remarkable gameplay achievement. Naturally, it’s no small feat to bring a raid boss to its knees alone, but this success also carries the significance of having defeated THE villain of the Destiny lore in a one-on-one.

“You have become a legend, Guardian”
How is the community reacting? The success of “BogOnMyDog” is receiving much acclaim on social networks and in the comments on YouTube. He is celebrated by the community and praised by Bungie.
The official YouTube account of Destiny comments under the creator’s video: “You have become a legend, Guardian.” On Reddit, they call him “legend,” and on YouTube, G.O.A.T. (Greatest of all time).
One player describes what it was like to watch the challenge unfold during the past two weeks on Twitch: “Watching this challenge develop over your streams has been absolutely incredible and so impressive. You make us Australians look so good. I am so proud of you and to have been a part of this journey.”
A user on Reddit compares “BogOnMyDog” to a community legend from Elden Ring, writing: “If LetMeSoloHer were a Guardian.” LetMeSoloHer gained fame in the Soulsborne community for joining random players and helping them against one of the toughest bosses: Player kills one of the most annoying bosses naked for others in Elden Ring – now being celebrated for it.
