In Destiny 2, you can get a quest Perfect Paradox. We will show you how to obtain the required verse and how the world quest “Lost Legends” works.
If you want to grab the legendary shotgun “Perfect Paradox”, you need to take action now. Since mid-December 2017, it has been possible to obtain the weapon.
The Perfect Paradox is one of the forge weapons from Curse of Osiris, but it has a special status. Unlike the other 10 forge weapons, it does not have a number in the name and does not have a numbered verse through which it can be obtained. However, the Guardians had a theory that the Perfect Paradox could be obtained through a quest related to the 14th Saint.
This quest can now be played – and it turned out that the theory surrounding the Perfect Paradox is almost entirely accurate.
How to get the Perfect Paradox – Another Verse
First, you need to complete 5 verses with Brother Vance. On the wall in the Lighthouse, 5 symbols need to glow, then Brother Vance has another verse for you, the “Another Verse”. This marks the start of the weapon quest.
- The quest is called “Lost Legends”. Your first task is to complete the mission “Signal Light”. It will be displayed on the Mercury map.
- After that, return to Brother Vance and gather the necessary resources to fulfill the verse. You need 2 concentrated Radiolarian cultures, 2 advanced Paradox amplifiers, and 2 “Fossilized Hermaion Blossoms”. This will take some time.
- Once you have collected these items, you will receive another quest mission called “Not Even the Darkness”.
- This mission takes you to the Everforest, where you will find the 14th Saint. This one has already been discovered behind a locked door, which has a small hole. In the new mission, you will enter the room where you must inspect the 14th Saint. This completes the mission:
- Now return to Brother Vance, who rewards you with a nice emblem for the 14th Saint:
- The verse is now fulfilled, and you can forge the Perfect Paradox at the weapon forge.

Perks and Stats of Perfect Paradox
Many Guardians are currently a bit surprised – and disappointed – that it is so easy to obtain Perfect Paradox. It was actually expected that the quest would only be unlocked once all other 10 verses have been fulfilled. But apparently, this weapon is not as special as previously speculated.
It is an automatic shotgun with these stats:
The perks:
- Rampage: Kills with this weapon temporarily grant increased damage. Stacks 3 times.
You have the choice between:
- Aggressive Magazine: Slightly increases stability, significantly increases reload speed
- Stable Rounds: Significantly increases stability, slightly decreases range
- Enhanced Rounds: Increased range
Additionally, you can influence range, weapon readiness speed, and spread with Full Choke, rifled barrel, and smoothbore.
Note: There seems to be a rare bug that the “Another Verse” does not appear once you have fulfilled Verse 10.
