When does Destiny 2 launch on PC in Germany? When do the servers go live? The release date with the exact start time – and the system requirements – are now known!
Soon the Guardian community will grow: Destiny 2 is coming to PC in just a few days. Bungie invites all PC players to face Ghaul and his Red Legion.
- The official release date for the PC version of Destiny 2 is October 24, 2017. This is a Tuesday. This date applies to both the disc version and the digital version via battle.net.
The servers will go online worldwide at the same time:
- In Germany and all of Central Europe, the launch will occur at 7 PM. Here is a graphic from Bungie about it:
Thus, Bungie takes a different approach for the PC launch than for the console launch. When Destiny 2 was released on PS4 and Xbox One, there was a “rolling midnight launch”. This means that the servers went online worldwide at different times, starting in New Zealand, through Australia and Europe to North America.
The PC launch, however, is simultaneous worldwide – in Australia, New Zealand and large parts of Asia, it starts on October 25.
By the way: The official reason why the PC version is released a month and a half later than the console launch, which was on September 6, is that the developers needed more time to make the PC version as good as possible. However, the fact that console Guardians now have a significant lead and numerous secrets have been solved long ago still annoys many PC players.
Destiny 2 – PC System Requirements
You still have a few days to prepare your computer for the launch. Bungie has now announced the official and final system requirements.
On the left side, you see the minimum system requirements and on the right side the recommended ones (click on the graphic to enlarge):
You need 68 GB of storage space.
