The MMO shooter Destiny 2 is coming to PC and will achieve 60 FPS or much more. However, the game will not be available on Steam, but only on Blizzard’s Battle.net. This means: You will be able to purchase Destiny 2 with WoW Gold.
There is information about the PC version of Destiny 2. Activision had previously promised “PC tailored features“. During the gameplay presentation, Bungie did not discuss this, as the focus was on Sony’s PlayStation 4 Pro.
But the website Kotaku has come forward with initial information regarding the PC port of Destiny 2.
These are the specifications for Destiny 2 on PC
This is how Destiny 2 will be.
- Destiny 2 will support 4k (3820×2160)
- the framerate is “not capped,” so 60 FPS or more is achievable
- Destiny 2 will fully support mouse and keyboard, and players can also remap the keys
- There will be a text chat
- The field of view will be adjustable
- There are PC settings
- and support for 21:9 monitors
Not on Steam, only on battle.net – You can pay with WoW Gold in Destiny 2
There was one more surprise. Destiny 2 will run exclusively on PC through Blizzard, that is through “Battle.net” or the Blizzard app, as it is now called. This means Destiny 2 will not be released through Steam.
It is assumed that Activision did not want to give up a percentage to Valve since they already have Blizzard’s Battle.net.
At Blizzard, they say:
- Destiny 2 is currently the only “non-Blizzard” game that Blizzard offers through Battle.net. It is said that Blizzard loves Destiny so much that they make this exception. They say: If Bungie had to develop its own network for Destiny 2, the PC release of Destiny 2 would have been delayed. Blizzard could not wait to finally play Destiny 2, so they provided their sister company with their own platform.
- Support and servers are provided by Bungie, we have nothing to do with that. Through our servers, the typical “Battle.net” social functions run. So you can make friends through Battle.net and see from Destiny 2 who among your friends is currently playing Hearthstone.
- You will also be able to use “Blizzard credit” in Destiny 2. This credit can be acquired by exchanging in-game gold for a WoW token in WoW. This token then becomes Battle.net credit and with it, you could buy items in Destiny 2 or in-game items in any of the games that run through Battle.net – like skins in Overwatch, card packs in Hearthstone or playtime in WoW.
