In Destiny 2, on Tuesday, January 14th, a new patch will be deployed. The hotfix 2.7.0.2 aims to fix several issues. The update will return the overpowered exotic bow “Wish-Ender” back to a normal weapon.
When is the next patch coming? As Bungie announces, there will be a patch on Tuesday, January 14th, in the evening:
- Between 5:30 PM and 6:00 PM, players will not be able to play Destiny 2 for 30 minutes
- around 6:00 PM, the new patch will be available for download.
What does the bug fix? Currently, Tess Everis, the vendor of the Eververse, is unnecessarily marked on the map as if she has something important to tell the Guardians. Even though that is not the case.
This is a bug that is supposed to be fixed on Tuesday.
Another issue is an obelisk in the European Dead Zone of Destiny 2. A bug prevents players from interacting with the object. There is a workaround to still access the obelisks, but from Tuesday onwards, it will no longer be necessary.
In addition, Bungie has announced the solution to further problems, but has not provided details.
What about the bow? Since Season 9, the exotic bow “Wish-Ender” has been way too strong. It can currently kill almost anything with one shot, as a perk is dealing too much damage.
On Reddit, the community manager dmg04 announced that this bug will be fixed. It is noted: They understand that some players may take this negatively because they enjoyed the high damage. Therefore, they have passed the feedback to the team and maybe in future updates the bows in Destiny 2 will be stronger overall.
Bow “Leviathan’s Breath” in Destiny 2 currently not obtainable
Known bugs: Bungie has also listed 3 bugs in Destiny 2 that will not be resolved with the patch on Tuesday, but later:
- The exotic bow “Leviathan’s Breath” is currently not obtainable. There are issues with it because the strike “The Arms Dealer” was supposed to be completed in Season 8, but that is over now.
- There are problems with the Tower obelisk: Players cannot access it, Bungie recommends returning to orbit and trying again if that occurs.
- The emote “Twisted Laugh” is causing trouble. It cannot be unequipped once it is equipped.
Bungie is promising another “update” in January that will implement further changes and improvements to Destiny 2. For example, the quest “Green with Envy” will be fixed, where currently progress is not being tracked.
