Destiny 2 is receiving update 4.0.1 on Tuesday, April 19, with potentially significant changes. This will also involve downtime on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PC, and Google Stadia. We’ll keep you updated on when the Destiny servers are unavailable today.
What you need to know today: Bungie announced a server downtime for April 19. However, this is not a small hotfix, but an update.

Maintenance on April 19 – All Times and Server Downtime
These times are important today:
- Maintenance will start at 6:00 PM German time on all platforms.
- Servers will go offline at 6:30 PM. You will be kicked from activities, and downtime will begin.
- Servers are expected to be back online around 7:00 PM, and update 4.0.1 should be available.
- Maintenance is expected to be fully completed by 8:00 PM.
Also, keep in mind that third-party applications and the official Companion app are not functioning correctly.
What Changes with Hotfix 4.0.1 in Season 16
What this hotfix brings today: Bungie has already communicated a list of known issues that still need to be fixed.
However, Bungie did not disclose any details that indicate what will be fixed today, April 19. Only issues reported by the community are known.
These additional issues have been reported by players:
- An increase in MARMOT- error is being investigated
- Trying to import friends from other platforms for Bungie Friends shows an error on some platforms and cannot import friends.
- The “No Time to Explain” portal still shoots at defeated enemies
