In Destiny 2 there is now a crazy ornament for a sniper, allowing you to give the weapon exotic a sword look in the style of Final Fantasy.
Whether gestures in the style of Dragon Ball Z or a mini sparrow that almost looks like a Bobby car for guardians – Destiny 2 has introduced various crazy gimmicks into gameplay, entertaining fans along the way. Since the beginning of season 13, this action MMO has gained one more of those.
Since swords have been really trendy in Destiny lately, Bungie has now given an ornament of the popular sniper Izanagi’s Burden a really trippy look, allowing you to (visually) transform it into a gigantic sword.

What are ornaments anyway? Ornaments are basically skins, or alternative models for weapons and armor pieces in Destiny 2. They are purely cosmetic, meaning they do not change the functionality of the actual item, but only its appearance.
This is what the ornament is about: The new ornament for Izanagi’s Burden is called Worldshaper and is available in the Eververse for 700 silver (real money currency, around €7). This gives Izanagi’s Burden a monstrous sword blade instead of its previously subtle barrel.
Despite the visual transformation, the weapon is still a fully functional sniper.
What makes it so special? The exotic sniper rifle already features a sword design in its original form and could easily be mistaken for a sword when viewed from a distance and carried on the back. However, with the new ornament, it looks like a real blade monstrosity. And not just any – pretty much everyone who has a heart for Final Fantasy will quickly recognize what served as inspiration.
The new ornament is noticeably inspired by the gigantic swords of the Final Fantasy series and bears striking similarities to Cloud’s Buster Sword.
The tip of the blade is designed differently, but the dimensions and appearance with the wrapped bands on the shoulder support (or sword grip) still recall the unmistakable sword style. The chain is also likely a reference to Cloud’s sword, which many fans like to wear as a pendant.
