When thinking about bugs and errors in Destiny 2, one immediately thinks of the weapon “Telesto”. This crazy gun has caused many problems, but this time it is a different culprit. Lord of Wolves is its name, and it has now caused the most insane bug ever.
What happened in Destiny 2? With patch 6.2.5, Bungie wanted not only to fix some bugs but also to polish many weapon classes and individual guns. Among the various weapons that benefited, there was an exotic shotgun that was also supposed to be optimized, namely the “Lord of Wolves”.
The exotic shotgun was supposed to experience a range of improvements to make it competitive in PvE and ensure that the weapon was used more balanced in PvP.
To achieve this, Bungie not only improved your precision during the active perk “Release the Wolves”, but also granted you a 40% PvE damage bonus. When the patch 6.2.5 rolled out and the adjustments were active, Lord of Wolves was quickly disabled by the team, and luckily so.
This weapon had such a crazy bug that made you overpowered. We will show you the details.
Craziness: Bug in Destiny 2 makes you overpowered
Why was the exotic disabled? Bungie immediately informed the Guardians on their Twitter account and let them know that the weapon dealt more damage than it should.
In plain English, the weapon not only received a 40% damage buff itself. Every Guardian equipped with it also had their grenades, melee attacks, and even supers boosted (via. YouTube). In the right hands, grenade and super builds turned into true first-class killing machines.
Youtuber and PvP player CammyCakes immediately shared the curious bug on Twitter, asking: “Uhhhh Lord of Wolves, are you okay??!?”
Most Insane Bug Ever: In Destiny 2, there have been many bugs, and most were attributed to the exotic weapon “Telesto”. Boss mechanics could be circumvented and even Guardians could be rendered immortal.
Guardians in Destiny 2 are used to a lot, but the fact that a weapon even shares its damage buff with players is completely new. This propels the Lord of Wolves into the rankings of the most uncontrollable weapons in Destiny 2.
When will the weapon be accessible again? According to Bungie, the fix for the exotic shotgun will take place in the upcoming patch next week. Whether the development team can fix the error is uncertain. However, it is a fact that bugs often sneak in when developers try to solve an existing problem. So stay tuned, as new bugs may find their way into the game.
