In Destiny 2 you will have a unique opportunity this weekend to hunt the WWE wrestling superstar Big Show during a Bungie Bounty and receive a unique reward.
This is the Bungie Bounty: In this community event, Guardians can play Destiny 2 with the folks from Bungie or compete against them. It is usually accompanied by an official stream. You often run into the two community managers Cozmo and Dmg04, as well as developers from various departments.
The reward includes unique emblems that the Guardians can proudly display.
What is special this time? Even after the release of Shadowkeep, such a bounty is happening now. Joining the usual suspects this time is Paul Wight – better known as The Big Show. The professional wrestler and WWE superstar is himself a longtime Destiny fan and has already appeared at events like E3 or the Worlds-First title ceremony for Bungie.
The towering Guardian stands 2.13 meters tall and weighs almost 200 kg. With these stats, one might think he plays a Titan in Destiny – but far from it. Big Show prefers to fight as a swift Hunter against the forces of Darkness and other Guardians.
Here are the important details: The hunt for Bungie employees and Big Show will take place this time on PlayStation 4. The event kicks off Saturday night at 11:00 PM German time and is set to last two hours. (2PM-4PM Pacific)
The last Bungie Bounty took place on Xbox One. Bungie notes that they haven’t forgotten about the PC. More information will be provided at a later date.
This is how it will be played this time:
- First, you will enter the Strike playlist, where the Bungie team will randomly assign players through matchmaking. It is sufficient to play the activity together with the Bungie team to receive the emblem.
- Next, you will head into the new seasonal activity Vex Offensive. Here too, it is enough to fight side by side with the Bungie team to receive the emblem.
- Finally, you will go into the Crucible, where Big Show wants to “stomp some Warlocks into the ground”. Here you must be on the winning team to receive the emblem.
