Next week, the Guardian Games will start in Destiny 2. A first trailer sets the mood for the event, reminiscent of the Olympic Games. Additionally, a new Exotic awaits you.
What are the Guardian Games? The roadmap for Season 10 revealed that the Guardian Games will start on April 21. This is a free event in which the different classes from Destiny 2 will compete against each other.
Initial details about the event were provided in a leak that revealed much about the process and rewards.
However, an official trailer has now been released, which has a special atmosphere and shows first gameplay of the new weapon.
Trailer resembles Olympic Games, but what exactly is happening?
What happens during the Guardian Games? The event runs from April 21 to May 11, and the three classes will compete. According to the leak, there will be better daily rewards if your class performs better.
There are supposed to be various activities, including the Verdant Forest, which was introduced last year with the Glimmering.
How ‘Olympic’ will it be? The trailer places significant emphasis on a good staging, intentionally reminiscent of the Olympic Games. Judges, a parade of classes, and even the event logo evoke the typical rings.
However, you will likely not be competing in disciplines such as running, long jump, or shot put, but rather in loot runs or resource donations.
What rewards await? In the trailer, you’ll see the new exotic machine gun “Heir Apparent” in action starting at second 17. This MG was previously discovered in a leak and detailed.
Additionally, there will be further rewards in the form of cosmetics like Sparrows and ships. Some of these will be free, while others must be purchased in the Eververse.
A class is already favored for the event. We recommend a build that allows you to successfully tackle even the toughest content as a Hunter solo.
