In Destiny 2 Season 10 has begun, but an overhaul of the emblems is causing frustration among players. Bungie has already commented on this.
This is the latest annoyance following the patch: Yesterday, the Season of Worthy finally started and is supposed to keep players engaged until June. However, after the bombastic cinematic, the view into the character menu left many with long faces.
Many of the emblems were completely empty to the surprise of the Guardians. These emblems are supposed to track in-game statistics and achievements. With some emblems, there was not much left but the nice, yet meaningless, background images.

Why is this problematic? Many players have fought very hard for special emblems and want to proudly display them. The rarest emblems hide behind particularly challenging tasks.
With the clearly visible statistics on the emblems, players could show off what they have experienced and achieved in their Destiny career.
The emblems track among other things:
- how often a raid has been successfully completed
- how many gold medals you have earned in PvP
- if you managed to complete a dungeon solo
- kills with your character or weapons are also counted
The community is angry at Bungie
This is what players say: On reddit, complaint threads are sprouting up everywhere. For example, u/GR34T_D4N3 (via reddit) writes, “So, let me get this straight. Almost all my achievements from the last 2.5 years in Destiny, tracked by an emblem, are just… gone?”
Another post (via reddit) titled “I hate that I miss Activision” addresses the emblem issue among other things and receives over 11,000 upvotes.
Here on MeinMMO, the trackers, or rather the missing trackers, also cause frustration:
Nice kick in the nuts that the old points/numbers are no longer on the emblems, like my 30-game win streak in the Crucible, for example. Thanks

This is what Bungie says about the situation: The Destiny developer is aware of the problem and is working feverishly on a solution. So that you can soon track and display your achievements again, Community Manager Cozmo is asking players to report the affected emblems and statistics to Bungie.
The emblems will be revised: A look at the patch notes of Update 2.8.0, which launches Season 10, shows that the emblems have been revised in Season 10.
Emblems are to be more customizable. Additionally, trackers can now be manually disabled. New features include:
- Emblems now have an updated details view to display stat trackers.
- All emblems now have stat trackers that can be equipped and unequipped.
- The stat trackers available for an emblem correspond to the source/category of the emblem.
- Stat trackers are categorized based on activity and time frame.
During this restructuring, statistics and tracked achievements then disappeared.
Which emblem do you care about or what achievement are you particularly proud of? Let us know in the comments.
