The loot shooter Destiny 2 will soon bring three new Stasis classes with the upcoming expansion Beyond Light. All of them use ice and bring fresh air into the gameplay of Destiny 2. But which of the three new classes is your favorite? Participate in our MeinMMO survey and find out!
What are the new classes about? The upcoming expansion Beyond Light (Beyond Light) of Destiny 2 will bring three unique Stasis classes. They all rely on the new Stasis element. This originates from Darkness and represents the first new damage type that has been introduced in the 6 years of Destiny.
The core theme of Stasis is ice and frost. You will get many effects that hinder, freeze, and slow down enemies. This offers a lot of new possibilities in PvE and could become a real problem in PvP.
Nevertheless, many of you will surely want to try out the new Stasis classes. Here’s a brief overview of the new versions of Warlock, Hunter, and Titan:
The three new Stasis classes briefly introduced
What’s in the Revenant? The Revenant is a Hunter and the developers drew inspiration from the combat style of legendary ninjas. Therefore, the Revenant uses nasty ice shurikens that he throws at enemies in “melee combat”. The things bounce off walls and slow down enemies. If they are hit multiple times, they even freeze.
As a super ability, the Revenant throws special sickles. One of them unleashes a Stasis wave that freezes everything. The other sickle, on the other hand, creates a storm that pulls in enemies and then freezes them.
What does the community say? While Hunter fans are looking forward to the new abilities, some also have concerns. Especially the many seeking and freezing effects of the Revenant sound quite OP to PvP fans, and there are fears that Hunters will soon become unpopular in the Crucible.
What can the Colossus do? The Colossus is basically the archetype of a Titan: A powerful giant who can take and deal massive damage. His ability Tremor allows the Colossus to execute a massive punch. It throws the enemy back and slows down all foes in the vicinity of the impact. Titans who just love to scream into the fray already love this ability.
The new super Glacierquake gives you ice armor and unlimited melee energy. The Colossus hits even harder and also jumps farther, higher, and faster. His blows unleash shockwaves that freeze enemies. If you bump into them or hit them by any other means, they shatter. So if you want to hit hard, you are at the right place.
What does the community say? You quickly realize that many Titan fans have always wanted exactly this class. Ramming into enemies and smashing everything is probably a fan favorite. However, some players would also like something completely new instead of “another Striker”.
What can you expect from the Shadebinder? The Shadebinder is the ice mage among Warlocks. He uses a frozen scepter in melee combat to hurl ice shards at enemies. If they hit, they instantly freeze the enemies, and you can shatter them.
The super is called Winter’s Wrath, and you first hover around, freezing enemies with ice projectiles. Next, a shockwave is triggered that causes all frozen enemies to burst, creating even more damage in the area. An ideal ability to clear out groups of enemies.
What does the community say? Those who were not so convinced by the previous classes in Beyond Light find the new Warlock the freshest, as his abilities resemble the fewest known skills. However, many players also fear significant problems in PvP.
Survey – MeinMMO seeks the Super-Destiny-Stasis class
Which class will you play? When Beyond Light finally releases on November 10, 2020, and you choose one of the new Stasis classes, which one will it be? Does your heart beat for the ice mage, the frost colossus, or the icy ninja?
You only have one vote each, so use it wisely. We will then present the results of the survey in a separate article about the most popular new class in Destiny 2 Beyond Light.
Let us know in the comments why you chose this Stasis focus – even though we know that there will definitely be a lot more Warlocks out there soon.
