A new trailer for Destiny 2 has been released for Forsaken of Osiris. In it, we get a new look at the Infinite Forest and Osiris weapons in Vex style.
Tomorrow, on November 21st at 8 PM, Bungie will hold the second livestream for the expansion “Forsaken of Osiris”. This stream will focus on the new activities. We will also learn how, where, and why we need to fight against the new enemies, the Vex.
There will likely be detailed information about the Infinite Forest – a location within Mercury where the Vex simulate different realities.
To prepare for the stream – and to announce it once again – a teaser trailer has now been published. We are presented with almost 45 seconds of new footage for Forsaken of Osiris:
What can you see in this trailer?
The trailer greets you with the words that there are “infinite realities” to discover. This is directly a reference to the Infinite Forest.
Particularly exciting in this regard is the moment in the trailer at 0:10, where multiple scenarios are shown in quick succession. Here are two of them: Both locations are in the exact same spot, but the play areas are different. In other words, the Infinite Forest will be an arena that is represented in many, “infinite,” different forms and arrangements. This is supposed to increase replayability.
Next, we get a glimpse of some Osiris weapons. These use Vex technology. The weapons have cables attached through which Vex milk / Vex technology presumably flows. At 0:14 you can see a hand cannon, followed by a pulse rifle, and at 0:24 a rapid-fire weapon, probably a submachine gun. The weapon at 0:28 could be a pistol.
