A new trailer for Destiny 2 highlights the race for the first victory in the new raid. And players are already looking forward to the competition.
What kind of trailer is this? The new trailer broadly focuses on the new Deep Stone Crypt – the new raid that will soon open its doors in Destiny 2: Beyond Light.
On November 21 at exactly 7:00 PM, the new, tough challenge begins. Until then, you have time to upgrade your gear, collect new exotics, or get to know the new Stasis class inside and out.
However, the trailer does not directly focus on the raid, but rather on the prestigious race for the “World First” – the epic competition to be the first to successfully complete the raid. You can watch the trailer, which mainly shows scenes from past races, here:
Fans are looking forward to the World First race – what is it all about?
The trailer, which is likely meant to get players excited about the race for the first victory, seems to be hitting its mark. With over 9,000 thumbs up and only 294 down (current status: November 18, 6:30 PM), the trailer is rated quite positively. And there is also a certain hype noticeable in the comments:
- “ITS THAT TIME OF THE YEAR BAYBEE”, shouts user Finn in the comments (via YouTube).
- “The raid race is pretty much the only thing that brings the community together for a day – then it gets toxic again,” describes Organicaly (via YouTube).
- “I don’t care if you hate Destiny. But the Day One raid race is one of the best gaming experiences there is,” writes user Bruh (via YouTube).
Comments like these are abundant – the raid day could indeed be quite exciting for many players.
How does the race work? The new raid takes place in the Deep Stone Crypt on the frozen moon Europa. The race begins on November 21 at 7:00 PM.
This time, the race will take place in a special competition mode. This mode will be active in the raid for 24 hours and will decrease the power level by 20 points for each activity. Artifact power is disabled, and a power level of 1230 is recommended. Anything above that will not provide advantages in the final battle of the raid.
Those who complete the raid within the first 24 hours will receive a special emblem. Additionally, this year there will be a closer look at who actually won – hence there might be a slight delay in announcing the winner. In the case of the World First in the raid “Crown of Sorrow”, the supposed winner Datto was announced late, as he actually did not win at the end.
