A major expansion for Destiny 2 is planned for autumn 2018. It is expected to bring significant changes. A new mode sounds particularly promising. Activision boldly announces that there has never been anything like this new mode in shooters.
What is it about? Shortly before the release of the Warmind expansion, Activision Blizzard held the so-called Earnings Call – the quarterly report. During this, the publisher also briefly discussed its future plans for Destiny 2. The company teased a revolutionary mode for Destiny 2 that is set to be introduced with the major autumn expansion.
Such a thing has never been seen in shooters before
What makes this new mode so special? Unfortunately, specific details were not revealed. However, according to Activision’s COO Coddy Johnson, this mode is supposed to be very engaging and offer a completely new gaming experience.
This style of play is not only new for Destiny 2. In general, there should be nothing comparable in the realm of first-person shooters. There is a feeling that this new mode meets the wishes of many fans.
Some selected community members have already had the chance to try out the new mode. The feedback has been extremely positive. Many testers consider the new mode to be a true game-changer.
When can we expect more info? The autumn expansion of Destiny 2 will be presented at the upcoming E3 trade fair in June 2018. The new mode is also set to be showcased at that time.
Activision itself will not hold its own conference at E3. However, it is expected that Destiny 2 will be presented again as part of Sony’s appearance.
