With the Dreaming City, the Forsaken expansion introduces a new endgame location for Destiny 2. Bungie has revealed numerous new details about the upcoming setting of the fall addon.
Game Informer has a wealth of exclusive information this month about the upcoming Forsaken expansion of Destiny 2. In this context, Bungie also shared new details about the Dreaming City. We summarize the new information for you.
The Dreaming City – What the Endgame Hub Offers
Bungie announced that the Dreaming City – the home of the Awoken – has tons of new content and activities such as exotic quests, hidden areas, and public events for the Guardians – not just for raid teams, but also for smaller groups and even solo players. These details are currently known:

Raid Location: The Dreaming City is initially the setting for the new raid. This is located in the centrally situated area “Keep of Voices” and will advance the story of the Forsaken campaign.
Patrol Zone: The Dreaming City is also an endgame patrol zone and will only be accessible after completing the Forsaken story and finishing a corresponding quest. In terms of world size, the new area is comparable to Nessus and will offer numerous new quests, public events, and a new activity. Over time, new missions will become available and secrets will be revealed.

New Activity: The new activity is officially called “Blind Well” and bears similarities to Court of Oryx, the Archon Forge, and the Escalation Protocol. In a sprawling cathedral complex, the first task is to make a sacrifice. Then, three to six players face waves of enemies. A toxic Taken gas will block certain areas, forcing players into combat in specific zones. Additional areas will become accessible during the event. Traditionally, a boss fight awaits the Guardian group at the end.
More to do: You will also be able to find new events and exotic quests in the Dreaming City. For example, there is a new public event in the tower defense style called Rift Generator. The goal is to charge an Awoken pillar and thus stop a mock invasion.
The city changes: The Dreaming City is infected by the Taken and exists in two parallel realms – the regular Dreaming City and the Ascendant Realm. The new location has a three-week cycle that influences the appearance of the city. At the end of a cycle, a larger secret awaits the best players.

It will also be possible for Guardians to temporarily travel to the Ascendant Realm with certain items found in the area, and to undertake special challenges or utilize hidden paths that do not exist in the real world.
Guess who is back: Petra Venj is the new vendor and leading character at this location and will change her location during the three-week cycle and change of the city.
Again against the Taken: The Taken seem to be one of the main adversaries of the new location and must be fought to protect the Awoken home and counter the Taken curse. The configuration and power level of the enemies will change.
