In Destiny 2, the finale of Season 10 is still awaited – but the appropriate music is already here. What has happened with the reset? And what could we expect in the last 2 weeks?

When will the finale finally arrive? With the weekly reset on May 26, many Guardians expected new events that would lead to the finale of Season 10. After all, the season of the Worthy ends in just under 2 weeks.
While the finale is still awaited a day after the reset. However, there are now 2 new hints in the game that it should be happening soon.
New music hints at the season finale: If you now fly to the Tower, the most important social space in Destiny 2, you will notice upon landing that something has changed – specifically, the music.
Upon arrival, you hear a dark, almost ominous melody that immediately makes you feel: something threatening is imminent.
The interesting thing is: The music did not change with the weekly reset in the evening but rather during the course of the day before the reset. Some Guardians were already talking about new sounds in the Tower. There were also isolated reports of other music on Io or in the Tangled Shore.
It is clear that something big, namely the season finale, is looming. And we may not have to wait until the next reset for it, as something may happen this week. Because the new music also came into play out of sync with the typical reset rhythm. Bungie shows that they are apparently not necessarily bound to the rigid reset cycle.
The Leviathan can now be seen from Earth: Another hint that the situation is intensifying is the position of the Leviathan, a colossal Cabal dreadnaught. The Cabal have directed it towards Earth, and as part of the seasonal story, we must prevent it together with Zavala, Ana Bray, and the Warmind Rasputin.
And after the reset, it looks like the time for action is imminent. Because the Leviathan can now even be seen from the Tower if you look closely at a certain time of day. It hides in the sunlight, but can be recognized with careful observation (or with some filters).
The situation is therefore escalating here as well. If we do not act, it may not even take until the next reset for the Leviathan to strike us. This also suggests that we may see or do something new in the context of the seasonal story this week.
What could happen at the finale? At the end of Season 10, essentially 2 storylines converge.
On one hand, there is the Leviathan, which is crashing down to Earth. We hope to avert this danger in Season 10 with the help of Warmind Rasputin. Some Guardians reported days ago (probably too early) about a new message asking them to help Rasputin destroy the Leviathan. And that’s likely where it’s headed. The outcome is still uncertain. Because there was a leak of a destroyed Tower that suggests our efforts may either fail or only partially succeed.
We also hope for help from Rasputin against a second major threat. Because on the other hand, there is the approaching Darkness with its massive and ever-growing fleet of pyramid ships. This continues the grand story from the Shadowkeep expansion, where we first encountered a ship of Darkness directly.
It is assumed that there will be an encounter with the Darkness by the end of Season 10, which has now passed Uranus with its ships. Thus, this mysterious enemy could already be introduced as a new foe for Season 11 or the new big autumn expansion.
What the new music in the Tower is hinting at is not clear. Although it could definitely match the Darkness in tone and could herald its arrival. But it could also relate to an impending disaster caused by the crashing Cabal ship. It remains exciting what exactly the new music foreshadows.
