In Destiny 2 it is a tradition to bring players to the brink of despair with tricky puzzles. What lies behind the latest code in the trailer for the expansion Beyond Light?
This is the puzzle: Recently, Guardians were able to admire a new gameplay trailer for the upcoming expansion Beyond Light. It primarily focused on ice abilities, as Stasis brings the first new element to Destiny in 6 years.
In the trailer, cryptic numbers hide among the action, and some letters of the displays are highlighted. Players are sure that there is a code behind it. They do not believe it’s a coincidence, as Bungie loves to give players puzzles.

What could lie behind the codes? We have already analyzed 10 exciting details from the DLC trailer. Since then, the community has delved deeper into the code from the trailer.
Many of the seemingly random combinations of letters and numbers refer to measurements of the real celestial body Europa – the new DLC takes place on the moon of Jupiter.
- Orbital data

However, when compared with the actual data, it turned out that many numbers are not completely correct, but according to the puzzle solvers from Raidsecrets (via reddit), there is a good reason for that: The data refers to Europa after terraforming has occurred – that is, through interventions, temperature and atmospheric pressure have been altered.
What does the darkness intend? In Destiny 2, players enter another moon of Jupiter: Io. Europa acts as the distorted mirror image of Io. Because the terraforming was carried out by the darkness.
- Io is the last place the Traveler (the Light) touched – here players experience a story mission at the contact point every week in Season 11
- Europa is the last point touched by the darkness – in the trailer, a pyramid ship of the darkness is prominently placed on the icy surface
This would be another piece in the larger puzzle that unfolds in Destiny 2 over the next few years. Players are also offered the new Stasis powers by the alluring darkness. A novelty, until now we received all powers from the Traveler.
