Bungie stays true to tradition and brings the Moments of Triumph in Destiny 2. This is a series of specific Year 1 challenges to complete in order to earn unique rewards. We summarize all the important details for you.
This came as a surprise: Not only around the Forsaken expansion are there news in Destiny 2. Without major announcements, the Triumph Moments surprisingly went live in time for Bungie Day on July 7.
With this, Bungie aims to reflect on the first year of Destiny 2 together with the fans and celebrate it with them. Guardians can earn cool rewards by completing numerous characteristic Year 1 milestones and thereby show that they were part of the first year of Destiny 2 and what they experienced.
The Moments of Triumph in Year 1 – Everything You Need to Know
What are the Triumph Moments? The Triumph Moments are a limited-time live event. During this event, Guardians can complete various in-game challenges that are characteristic of the first year in Destiny 2.
In this process, they collect points and can unlock certain rewards with an increasing score, which proudly show that they were part of Year 1 and achieved quite a bit.
How long does the event last? The Triumph Moments have been live since 7 PM on July 7. Guardians have until August 28 to master the corresponding challenges, earn points, and unlock rewards.
Participation Requirements: In principle, anyone who owns Destiny 2 can participate in this event and tackle the challenges. However, for some activities, challenges, and rewards, the expansions “Curse of Osiris” and “Warmind” are required. Players who do not own these DLCs will not be able to achieve the maximum score.
Earn Triumph Points: Triumph Points can be earned by completing certain challenges from various fields of Destiny 2. For each successfully completed triumph, there is a certain number of points.
Some challenges are already active. Others will be added on July 31 with the start of the “Solstice of Heroes” event. Many already active milestones are retrospective and will be counted retroactively. Many Guardians may have already completed some tasks – especially passionate fans may have even done everything that is available so far.
Keep in mind:
- Completed triumphs can only be redeemed for points or rewards once the Solstice of Heroes goes live on July 31.
- You can check your progress at any time in the Destiny Companion app or on Bungie.net . With the start of the Solstice of Heroes, you will also be able to see and track your progress in-game.
- Your progress in the Moments of Triumph could be lost if you delete one or more characters from your account. To avoid potential problems, you should refrain from deleting any characters until all desired triumph rewards have been redeemed and the “Solstice of Heroes” event has ended.
These are the Triumph challenges available so far:
- Lightbringer: Complete the “Red War” campaign – 10 points
- Follower of Osiris: Finish the “Curse of Osiris” campaign – 10 points
- Awaken the Warmind: Finish the “Warmind” campaign – 10 points
- Fleeting Memories: Collect all 45 sleeping memories – 15 points
- Check out my arsenal: Collect 25 exotic weapons or armor pieces – 15 points
- Show me the way: Gain Sagira’s ghost shell – 20 points
- The Best of the Best: Reach Vanguard rank 50 in Season 3 – 20 points
- Treasure Hunter: Collect all regional chests – 10 points
- I will crush you: Defeat 100 enemies in the Crucible – 15 points
- Adventurous: Complete 20 adventures – 20 points
- Hive Extermination: Complete level 7 in the Escalation Protocol – 20 points
- Valor “Famous”: Achieve “Legendary” in “Valor” in Season 3 – 20 points
- The Emperor: Defeat Calus in the Leviathan raid – 20 points
- Prove yourself worthy: Complete the raid sections “World Eater” and “Star Chamber” – 20 points
Six more challenges are still unknown, five of which will be revealed with the start of the Solstice of Heroes.
The rewards known so far are:
- Complete any triumph: A unique emblem that counts your earned triumph points.
- 125 points: Thief Sun ghost shell
- 250 points: Triumph Moments T-shirt
- 300 points: Exclusive Sparrow
- 400 – that is, all – points: “Eternal Triumph” emblem
Note: These rewards can only be redeemed from July 31. With the Solstice of Heroes, further rewards will be added that are explicitly tied to activities of this event.
