In Destiny 2, there are less than 2 weeks until the expansion Beyond Light. Bungie is stirring up excitement with a new trailer. Check out MeinMMO to see what to expect in the DLC.
What Guardians are looking forward to: There are less than 2 weeks left until the long-delayed expansion Beyond Light releases on November 10. To wake up the Guardians out there, Bungie is ramping up the marketing.
- Last week, they made a splash with a story trailer
- on October 27, a video documentary about the big DLC was released
- Additionally, the Season 12 along with a roadmap with content until 2021 was published.
Today, on October 29, the official launch trailer for Beyond Light was released. Watch the new clip in German here:
This happens in the video: Zavala whispers, “The day we feared has come. The darkness is here.” Many players will be pleased, as they have been waiting for 6 years for the arrival of the darkness, our arch-enemy.
In line with the dark mood, a version of “Paint it Black” by the Rolling Stones rumbles in the background (via YouTube). Then, we are shown, in fast motion, all the information we have received about the new expansion in recent weeks.
A new trailer for Beyond Light showcases the DLC in fast motion
- Variks calls players with an emergency signal to Europe.
- We then see important story NPCs Eris, the Exo-Stranger, and the Drifter, who have also arrived on Europe’s icy surface.
- They face an army of enraged Fallen.
- Our allies demonstrate the new Stasis abilities: We see how ice walls are created for cover or enemies are shock-frozen. In the end, the immobile enemies shatter into countless ice crystals.
Is Stasis just a tool? We hear that the new powers are to be used for good and that Stasis is just a tool. Immediately, there is a harsh cut, and we see that the Fallen are also using the power of Stasis, but not for good.
Finally, we Guardians also arrive at the new DLC location:
- The new exotics of the expansion and other gear from Beyond Light are presented action-packed.
- Alongside the Fallen and Vex, we also encounter the new mini-bosses that are loyal to Eramis.
In the end, Bungie shows some love for veterans, showcasing scenes from the Cosmodrome. We now also know how large the returning area from Destiny 1 will be at the launch of the expansion.
What do you think of the new trailer? Are you starting to feel a sense of adventure and can’t wait for November 10 to finally head to Europe? Or do the spectacularly staged trailers leave you cold?
