In Destiny 2, Xur was revamped at the start of Season 11. He now sells Exotics with random stats. This makes the NPC vendor interesting again.
What has changed? On June 9, the Season 11 in Destiny 2 was launched. It brought new story, new PvE activities, a dungeon, and new weapons and armor.
Additionally, the update included a change to Xur, allowing the vendor to sell Exotics with a random distribution of stats and affinities.
Previously, he only offered armor from the collections, which always had fixed stat distributions. Many veterans also already own these items.
Moreover, it is now possible to acquire a second exotic engram, provided you bring Xur the new item “Exotic Code”, which you can find in the season pass.
Why is this interesting? Xur was a popular vendor in Destiny 1 because he had many exciting items available. However, he lost relevance over time, especially in Destiny 2.
The latest update could finally make the vendor interesting again, making the search for and discovery of Xur worthwhile.

What does Xur offer? From June 12 to 16, you can currently get Synthoceps from Xur, armored gloves for Titans with a total of 62 stats.
The special feature of this item is the 20 recovery. While the remaining values for the melee armor are only mediocre, overall this Exotic is more interesting than the previous items from Xur.

What’s next for Destiny 2? A roadmap has outlined the plans for the progression of Season 11. This will run until autumn 2020. You can look forward to new exotic quests, triumph moments, and the Solstice of Heroes.
In autumn, the new expansion “Beyond Light” will be released. In the announcement, Bungie also spoke about the development of Destiny 2 until 2022.
