The night before the reveal stream for the Warmind expansion of Destiny 2, Bungie stirs the excitement of fans with a short clip. What can the Guardians expect in the upcoming stream and what details does the teaser already reveal about the 2nd DLC?
Shortly before the reveal stream of the Warmind DLC, Bungie attempts to pique the fan base’s curiosity with a short teaser and prepare for the unveiling of the 2nd expansion. In addition to general information about the stream, the short video also contains some exciting details about the 2nd expansion of Destiny 2. We have analyzed the clip for you.

What to expect tomorrow in the stream
The stream will start on Tuesday, April 24, at 7:00 PM our time. We will, of course, live-tweet for you on MeinMMO. According to the teaser, the stream will be divided into the following 3 sections:
Explore Mars – Hellas Basin
This section will apparently focus on the setting of the Warmind expansion. Mars has now been definitively confirmed.
Hellas Basin seems to be one of the new locations on Mars. Whether this underground complex is also located there is still not entirely clear.
Nice to Know: Hellas Basin is also a region on Mars in real life. The word “Basin” refers to a depression in the geological sense. Water and important nutrients are presumed to be present in this region, providing a basis for potential life on Mars.
According to researchers, this is a well-suited location to search for signs of possible past life on the red planet. Perhaps something has also been found there in the Destiny universe…
At the beginning of the teaser, a group of Guardians is seen leaving an icy cave and entering a typical Destiny Mars landscape with red sand dunes. In the background, the Warmind bunker construct can be seen. The already known Warmind complex and some other structures can also be seen at night. Whether these buildings are a research facility of the Clovis Bray Corporation will likely be revealed tomorrow in the stream.
Survive the Hive Escalation Protocol – new mode?
This section will likely be about a new game mode of Destiny 2.
As a brief clip from the teaser shows, players must defeat incoming waves of the Hive in a set time period in a sort of arena. This activity strongly resembles a horde mode. The different levels of the activity presumably represent the respective wave or the increasing difficulty. The famous skull symbol strongly suggests that the activity ends with the death of the fireteam and that it is also about surviving as long as possible.
During the activity, a kind of relic seems to be involved – comparable to the Flame Axe from the Rise of Iron expansion for Destiny 1.
Revised Exotics and Crucible Updates
Here, the developers will likely provide further details about the upcoming Crucible updates and the revised exotic weapons.
Speaking of Exotics – as can be clearly seen, the popular exotic auto rifle Suros Regime returns with DLC II. Bungie has also released a video of the revised Tractor Cannon alongside the stream teaser.
This seems to significantly enhance all Void damage dealt by Guardians and allows for continuous critical hits for the 5 seconds duration of the effect. The strike boss is practically melting away.
Moreover, the revised Tractor Cannon is capable of suppressing enemies in PvP. This means that enemies hit by it cannot use Supers, abilities, or jumps for a certain period. If they are hit by the Tractor Cannon during an already active Super, the Super will be canceled.
What else does the teaser show?
Furthermore, the teaser shows some new armor pieces and weapons in the characteristic Warmind style.
The Hive is also shown as the only enemy so far – players encounter Acolytes, Knights, and Ogres in a strikingly new, icy look.
