What you need to know today: Bungie has announced a routine update for this Tuesday, January 25, 2022, for the afternoon. You should also keep Tuesday and Thursday in mind as new update days and plan your gaming time around them.

5 PM: The downtime of Destiny 2 has been unexpectedly extended by 1 hour, so the maintenance will now end at 7 PM instead of 6 PM.
5:50 PM: The Destiny 2 servers are reachable again.
6:30 PM: Bungie reports that the maintenance work is complete.
8 PM: The maintenance mode has just officially ended. From now on, there should be no more interruptions and third-party apps should be reachable again.
Maintenance on 25.01. – All Times and Server Downtime
These times are important today:
- At 2:00 PM German time, maintenance starts on all platforms
- From 2:45 PM, the servers will go offline. You will be kicked from all activities – the downtime begins
- By 5:00 PM, the servers are expected to be back online
- At 6:00 PM, the maintenance is expected to end as scheduled, at the Weekly Reset
What is important: Even if you have loaded the update, there may be connection issues until the maintenance work ends around 6:00 PM. You may have to expect queues when logging in. Also, keep in mind that third-party applications and the official companion app may not be properly reachable.
What Changes with the Update in Season 15
The maintenance brings about the following changes: Just on Saturday, an unscheduled maintenance had to be performed on Destiny 2. The servers were completely down, nothing worked. Shortly after, the hashtag “Telesto” was trending on Twitter. Coincidence? At least the players joked on Twitter during the downtime about this curious fact:

This week, Bungie is returning to their normal update routine. Two known issues are already on the hotfix list. However, more changes could certainly be included in the update.
This is currently on Bungie’s hotfix list:
- When you spawn for the first time in an area or activity, hand cannons sometimes have no ammunition left.
- The win streak of the “Eternity’s Trials” now only grants a maximum of 125 points per completion.
- Players continue to receive various error codes and get kicked from the game.
If you notice any issues in the game, it is recommended to report these directly through the official Bungie Help forum to make them aware.
