In Destiny 2 maintenance is underway again with downtime for the platforms PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, on PC, and on Google Stadia. You can find the important times and information on MeinMMO.
What you need to know today: On January 11, 2022, maintenance will take place again. This is expected to fix some issues that Bungie will communicate after the patch.
To ensure you know exactly when you can play and what changes in the game, MeinMMO will accompany you through the maintenance work and update this article as soon as something changes or Bungie releases further information about a hotfix and adjustments.
Maintenance on 11.01. – All times and server downtime
These times are important today:
- At 14:00 German time, maintenance will start across all platforms.
- From 14:45 the servers will be offline. You will be kicked from all activities and the downtime will begin.
- Servers are expected to come back online around 18:00 and the update will roll out worldwide.
- If a download is pending, you can play Destiny 2 again once it has been downloaded (and copied).
- At 19:00, the maintenance is scheduled to end.
Important: Even if you have downloaded the update, there may be connection issues until the scheduled end of maintenance around 18:00. You may have to deal with queues when logging in. Also, note that third-party applications and the official companion app may not function correctly.
What changes with the update in Season 15
This is what the hotfix today brings: Bungie has not shared any details about the update in advance. Officially, Bungie has said nothing about it. We can only speculate that perhaps some known issues were addressed.
- Menus in the game have been loading very slowly since Christmas, causing players to wait a long time for quest menus, weapon details, and other information to open in the game.
- Xur continues to blink after you have brought his reputation rank up to level 16.
These are the patch notes:
- A problem has been fixed where certain VFX of the Sparrow thrusters were not being played.
- A problem has been fixed where weekly starfarer bounties could only be completed for one character.
- A problem has been fixed where some emblems were not displayed correctly.
This was just a brief look into the patch notes. For more information, visit the official page of Bungie:
