Destiny 2 has announced maintenance for Thursday, March 10th. This also involves downtime on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PC, and Google Stadia. We will let you know when you cannot play today.
What you need to know today: Bungie announced via Twitter that server maintenance is once again scheduled. This is a moderately long maintenance that will not take much time.

Bungie responded in a reddit thread and announced that they will address the issue with the Ascendant Alloys and will provide a good offer as compensation.
Maintenance on March 10th – All times and server downtime
These times are important today:
- At 2:00 PM German time, maintenance will start on all platforms
- From 3:45 PM, the servers will go offline. You will be kicked from all activities – the downtime begins
- Around 6:00 PM, the servers are expected to go online again, with the daily reset. You can download the new hotfix then
- By 7:00 PM, the maintenance is expected to be fully completed
It is important: Even if you have downloaded the update, you may experience connection issues until the maintenance is finished around 7:00 PM. You might have to expect queues upon login.
Also, be aware that third-party applications and also the official companion app may not be working correctly.
What changes with the update in Season 16
This is what the hotfix brings today: Bungie announced on Twitter that players will finally be able to change their Bungie name after downloading. This way, you can enter your desired name and get rid of the annoying numbers that have accompanied your nickname.
This is currently on Bungie’s hotfix list:
- The “Reshape the Enigma” questline can get stuck for some players in the last step.
- The “No Time for Explanations” time portal will continue to shoot at defeated enemies.
