In Destiny 2, the exotic weapon “Telesto” has become a cult favorite: No weapon has caused as many problems as the exotic fusion rifle. On October 16, Bungie temporarily disabled the weapon for all PvP modes, yet ironically, it is active in the new test mode for solo players in Trials of Osiris.
What kind of weapon is it?
- Telesto is a fusion rifle that operates in a unique way: The projectiles are small purple spheres that function like sticky grenades and explode.
- Telesto constantly causes glitches and bugs because the projectiles of the weapon behave unusually. Bungie continuously removes Telesto from the game – it is already being referred to as the “Telesto curse”.
- Just on October 16, Bungie announced that they would disable Telesto in all PvP modes, because it makes players immortal – but that just doesn’t work.
Ironically, Telesto is active in Trials Solo
In which mode is it now active? This weekend, an experiment starts in Trials of Osiris. For the first time, there is a list exclusively for solo players.
But in this brand new mode, Bungie apparently overlooked the ban on Telesto. The weapon can be used there, as a YouTuber demonstrates.
Telesto just there besto – No weapon has broken Destiny 2 more often
These are the reactions: Telesto is an absolute cult weapon in Destiny 2, precisely because it has ruined the game so often. The comments on YouTube are now just mocking (via youtube):
- “Days since the last Telesto incident: 0”
- “Not even the developers can stop Telesto anymore”
- “Telesto has developed its own consciousness. Bungie can do nothing about it.
- “Telesto simply cannot be stopped anymore: Holy crap. This is now the Final Form.”
- A user quotes Telesto with the saying “Did you really think killing me would kill me?”
With this action, Bungie seems to be further fueling the cult around the weapon.
