In Destiny 2 Guardians have entered the new cyberpunk city Neomuna. However, to avoid going into battle unprepared, Bungie gives you 9 new exotics that you can get in Lightfall. We will show you which ones they are and what they can do.
What has Bungie announced? On January 31 at 4 PM Bungie prepared a trailer showcasing new gear and weapons. This mainly involves exo-items that Guardians can earn in the new DLC “Lightfall”. We will explain in the following paragraph what exos there are and especially what they can do.
You can find the trailer for the exos here from us:
All 9 new exos for Lightfall at a glance
Which exos will come with Lightfall? According to the trailer, a total of six new exos will appear with Lightfall. The exos include three new weapons and three new armors. The following are known:
- Last Warning – Pistol
- Deterministic Chaos – Machine Gun
- Winterbite – Glaive
- Cyrtarachne’s Face – Hunter Helmet
- Speedloader Fabric Pants – Hunter Leg Armor
- Cadmus Ridge Lance Helm – Titan Helmet
- Hover Jump – Titan Leg Armor
- Icicle Wrathweaver – Warlock Gauntlets
- Swarm – Warlock Leg Armor
It is important to note that Witch Queen offered a total of two exo-armors for each class at its release. In Lightfall, the total number of exo-armors for the first season has thus halved. This could change at the start of Season 20. Or Bungie has split the exotics back to 3 pieces per season, as no new exotics could be earned in Witch Queen.
Destiny 2 Lightfall: Exotics – All Weapons
Last Warning – A New Focus-Oriented Pistol
What can the weapon do? The Last Warning fires modern design bullets that are made of strand. Once you activate the intrinsic perk, you can fire a large volley of homing projectiles. Additionally, based on the footage, we assume that it fires a 3-shot burst in normal mode.
Deterministic Chaos – A Powerful MG for Crowd Control
What can the weapon do? This MG fires void projectiles that do different things depending on the shot.
- The 4th shot weakens targets
- The 16th shot destabilizes enemies
The weapon makes a good first impression and could be excellent for crowd control.
Winterbite – A Frosty Glaive with a Cool Buddy
What can the weapon do? This weapon fires stasis shockwaves, small frost balls that slowly approach enemies. These fire stasis projectiles, slow down enemies, and can even freeze them upon contact.
Destiny 2 Lightfall: Exotics – All Armors
Cyrtarachne’s Face – Hunter Helmet
What can the helmet do? According to Bungie, the helmet creates a woven armor while hanging. This woven pan increases your flinch resistance and could be particularly interesting for snipers or pulse rifle players in the crucible.
Speedloader Fabric Pants – Hunter Leg Armor
What can the leg armor do? Dodging activates you and your allies nearby with a boost for reload speed, handling, and effectiveness in the air. Additional dodges or takedowns increase the effect up to 5 times and reset the timer.
Cadmus Ridge Lance Helm – Titan Helmet
What can the helmet do? The helmet enhances your diamond lance of the stasis focus. They create stasis crystals upon impact. Hits on bosses or vehicles create more crystals. If you are behind a gunfight barricade, quick precision hits and fighter takedowns with a stasis weapon create a diamond lance near you.
Hover Jump – Titan Leg Armor
What can the leg armor do? The Hover Jump creates additional seeker projectiles when using the barricade that bind your enemies with strand in the air.
Since the description suggests that the barricade generates more projectiles, it could be possible that the barricade in the strand focus already creates seekers but not the amount seen in the trailer.
Icicle Wrathweaver – Warlock Gauntlets
What can the gauntlets do? Your winter wrath shockwaves cause increased shatter damage. Allies within range of your shockwave receive an overshield and deal increased damage with stasis weapons.
Swarm – Warlock Leg Armor
What can the leg armor do? The warlock can create novel strands that then float in the air with strand. With the swarm exo of the warlock, the destruction of such a strand creates a seedling. These seedlings seek out nearby enemies, chase them, and then dematerialize them.
Important at last: The trailer not only shows new enemies like Vex and Cabal but also a modified variant of the exo rifle “Mercury Surge”. This automatic rifle can be obtained by pre-ordering Lightfall, but currently only has the kinetic element.
However, in the trailer, another design as well as the element “strand” can be seen based on green projectiles. This relates to the catalyst which gives the weapon the strand element. You just have to unlock this.
