In Destiny 2 the Solstice event 2022 starts next week. Bungie has let slip some details about what players can expect there. One piece of information is particularly interesting for every player: the new armor options. You can craft them into a God-Roll and we will show you how that will work.
When does the Solstice event 2022 start? The Solstice event 2022 will take place on July 19 after the Weekly Reset. Bungie will also conduct a longer downtime on that day, which will bring the update and some fixes.
With the update, the European air zone will return and also a leaked horde mode where you will need to set up a campfire. We have listed all important leaks about the event here.
But the most important thing is the new armor that you can earn for the event 2022. It not only has a particularly appealing look in 2022. You can also specifically adjust it to your desired armor stats.
New armor can be shaped by you
How does the new armor work? As usual, you will receive an upgradeable armor piece. Your task is to refine it through your efforts. To increase its rarity, you must complete Solstice event challenges.
Through these completions you will then receive “Kindlings” that you can insert into your still miserable armor. By inserting them, your armor will increase in value. If you do this often enough, you will gain stats on the armor.
To influence the stats now and craft your God-Roll, you must socket the item “Silver Ash” into your refined armor. You will receive this ash when you earn “Silver Leaves” in various activities. To turn these leaves into ash, you just need to play the new activity “Campfire Party”.
With the ash you can finally select from various “Sparks” and determine your stat bonus yourself. By using the ash, your stats will be rerolled, but with the stat focus you have chosen.
So it is not guaranteed that you will get a God-Roll, but the new system gives you the chance to take your luck into your own hands.
Who is the armor for? For every player who is still looking for their last God-Roll armor piece or has no armor at all yet. With this mechanic, you can somewhat influence which stats with higher values should drop. This is also interesting for players who want to specifically push a few of their armor stats.
With a bit of luck, you might even get such good armors to raise three stats to their maximum level of 100. So participating in the event is worthwhile if you are keen on the best stats for your armors.
What do you think of the mechanic that Bungie has incorporated here? Do you think it’s cool that you can take your luck into your own hands? Let us know in the comments how you feel about it!
