For Destiny 2, the launch trailer for Witch Queen has finally been released. Not only does this build a horror atmosphere, but you also get insights into Savathûn’s past. We have analyzed the trailer and show you the most important things.
What a trailer was that? As the next major expansion of Destiny 2 only needs another week until release, Bungie has now also released the launch trailer. This mainly offers a lot of horror atmosphere like on the Glykon and also shows insights into earlier events from the life of the Witch Queen.
If you haven’t seen the trailer yet, we have embedded it for you:
Young Witch Queen and disgusting worm child
In the trailer, three Guardians combed through Savathûn’s Throne World. Accompanied by a dark and frightening atmosphere, many locations were shown again that the Guardians will soon be able to explore.
Among them was also a glimpse into Savathûn’s past. Ikora, the Warlock Vanguard, looked into her vision of a young Witch Queen.
She was on a rock formation, surrounded by a sea. There, the queen held a worm in her arms as if it were her own child. It is conceivable that this is her worm that grants her power and strength, and the rock represents her former planet Fundament.
In the meantime, you can see a desperate Vanguard and an enraged Zavala, who does not know what to do next. The Light has been taken from the Guardians, and now it is time to tear it back from the grasp of the Taken.
What else was shown? In the trailer, Guardians with powerful Void 3.0 abilities were shown again. A rampaging Titan with a Sentinel shield and a Warlock with a new melee technique have made the battlefield in the Throne World unsafe.
At the end of the trailer, you also see the entrance of the new raid. This will take place in a Pyramid ship and go live on March 5th. The Guardians in the trailer posed in the opening sequence in front of the location in the Swamp of the Throne World.
What do Destiny 2 fans say? They can hardly wait to finally swim into the new DLC and new content. Even the YouTuber “Mr.Fruit” writes the following:
I have never been so excited about Destiny 2.. LET’S GO!!
This makes it clear that many fans of the loot shooter are excited and can’t wait to strip the Taken of the Light. They only hope that their expectations will be met without a nasty surprise.
