Update 7 PM: Bungie has just released a second teaser. Ghaul tells us that humanity never deserved the power (of the Traveler) and that now our light belongs to him. The sun continues to darken:

The gamescom week 2017 has begun! Many publishers and game developers use the stage of this huge gaming fair to promote their upcoming games and release trailers that whet the fans’ appetites.
Bungie and Activision are also not hiding at gamescom: They just announced that today, on August 21 at 8 PM, the launch trailer for Destiny 2 will be revealed.

“A Day Without Light Awaits Us”
The announcement was made via Twitter with the headline that a day without light awaits us. They also posted a short video online under the hashtag #SolarEclipse2017 – so solar eclipse 2017.
This is clever marketing – because today a solar eclipse will be visible in the USA. This hashtag also fits Destiny 2, as with the arrival of Ghaul, our sun is in danger.
Because at the end of the official gameplay trailer for Destiny 2, released in May, a sun explodes. We have marked the spot for you:
You see a gigantic weapon firing a blue beam into the sun. Then the sun explodes and directly destroys the nearest planet.
The only question is whether we will really see our sun explode in this trailer. Many Guardians speculate that this is just a kind of flashback, showing us what the Cabal are capable of.
In other words, the Cabal can blow up the sun. And our job as Guardians will be to prevent this “solar eclipse”. About this, only speculation can currently be made.
