In just a few days, the next expansion, Warmind, will be released for Destiny 2. This has something to offer not only for PvE fans. PvP lovers also have a lot to do with the release of DLC II – among other things on new Crucible maps.
What can players expect? On Tuesday, May 8, 2018, with the release of the Warmind DLC, the Crucible of Destiny 2 will be expanded with two new PvP maps.
What’s special about it? These maps will be available to all players in PvP – regardless of whether they purchased DLC 2. Only for the upcoming Private Matches will you need to own the Warmind expansion if you want to fight on the two new maps.
Core Meltdown
The map Core Meltdown is apparently set in a Clovis Bray facility on Mars. The map has the familiar Mars look. The colors and architecture strongly remind one of the Crucible map Blind Watch from Destiny 1, which was also located on the red planet.
Solitude
On the PvP map Solitude, the Guardians seem to be fighting on Mars as well. This map is also set somewhere in the new Hellas Basin. Players battle each other in icy caverns and a building complex in the Warmind style.
What else does DLC II bring for PvP fans? But the two maps are not the only things that PvP players can look forward to. The Crucible will receive a seasonal ranking system with the Warmind expansion, which is supposed to provide long-term motivation and attractive rewards in PvP.
Additionally, with the release of the 2nd DLC, Private Matches will also make their way into Destiny 2. Players will get the chance to settle some scores with friends, engage in targeted fights against other clans, or even host entire tournaments.
