When does Forsaken start? Today, on September 4th at around 7 PM, new adventures will begin in the Destiny universe. At this time, the servers are expected to come back online. If you have installed Update 1.24 / 2.0.0.1, you can then jump into Forsaken.
How can I follow the launch live? If you can’t be in front of your console or PC at 7 PM because you are still on the go, haven’t installed the update yet, or simply enjoy watching others battle through Forsaken, then you can now sit back and watch our friend Nexxoss Gaming.

What should I expect at launch? We’ll be live updating!
There will likely be an enormous rush on the servers at launch, which may lead to queues and various error codes. So don’t expect everything to run smoothly exactly at 7 PM.

Queues possible: Bungie has announced that you might find yourself in queues when trying to log in. A lot of traffic is expected on the servers.
Update 6:25 PM: The servers are still offline. If you try to log in, you get the message “Destiny 2 servers are currently unavailable.”.
Update 6:34 PM: The patch notes for the day one update are still not available. Sven is anxiously fidgeting in his chair. As soon as the information is here, he will deliver the article to you immediately.
Update 6:46 PM: Servers are still down. Let’s see if it starts right at 7 PM. DeeJ just tweeted that Bungie will be watching closely and responding accordingly at launch.
Update 6:57 PM: The servers seem to be reachable already. There’s a message that Destiny 2 is currently at capacity. However, the server down message is no longer appearing. I am in the queue on PS4, Nexxoss is on PC as well.
Update 7 PM: According to Bungie, the servers are online. Get ready for queues! I was already able to leave the queue, but it now says “Contacting servers” indefinitely.
Okay, I’m in. Nexxoss too. Let’s wait and see if it continues to run smoothly. The message that servers are being contacted is constantly displayed. Many players are reporting that it’s lagging quite a bit. But the servers are still holding.
At the beginning, there will be many prompts showing what’s new. On the right side in the navigator, the Tangled Shore is available as a new location. Here you start the new Destiny adventure. Recommended Power is 330.
