The top weapon Izanagi’s Burden is currently almost unattainable in Destiny 2. However, this will change on Tuesday, October 29th. Bungie is improving the quest and the forges. Then, even new players will finally be able to obtain the weapon without any hassle.
What does Bungie have planned for next week? Many players have been waiting for this. In the current “This Week at Bungie” blog, the developers announced that the quest for the exotic sniper rifle Izanagi’s Burden will finally be improved.
On October 29th, update 2.6.1 for Destiny 2 will be released. The fix for the aforementioned quest will also be included in the update.
Then, players who are stuck in the quest or still need to complete it will finally be able to make progress.
What exactly is the problem with Izanagi’s Burden? The quest for the exotic sniper from the Black Armory DLC is bugged and therefore hardly or not solvable for some players – whether experienced Guardians or new players who joined with Shadowkeep or Destiny 2: New Light.
During the quest, there were bugs or even freezes at times. The completion of certain activities did not count, specific quest steps could not be completed, and necessary items were sometimes not available.
In short: Some were hopelessly stuck in the quest, and it just wouldn’t progress. Especially for many new players, completing the “Mysterious Box” quest was impossible. This should change next Tuesday.
What makes the sniper so special? The sniper Izanagi’s Burden is an absolute top weapon and is among the best that Guardians can currently have in their PvE arsenal.

It is equipped in the primary slot (requires special ammo) and can therefore be used in combination with the Witherhoard and a grenade launcher – a top loadout for PvE.
What also makes the weapon special is its intrinsic perk Precision Frame. If you hold the reload button, the magazine is consumed and condensed into a single bullet.
This projectile has additional range and deals higher damage – depending on how many bullets are currently in the magazine (maximum of 4). The effect can stack up to 4 times. This allows the sniper to deal massive damage in PvE and can kill with just one body shot in PvP.

This increases the damage from the intrinsic perk Precision Frame by about 20%.
