The hunt for masterwork catalysts is currently very popular within the community of Destiny 2. However, many fans are wondering what will happen to the catalysts from the faction rally after Season 3 ends. Bungie has now clarified this.
Exotic masterwork catalysts are currently in high demand among many Guardians. Especially with the hunt for the three faction-exclusive catalysts, many players are passing the time.
However, the limited availability of these coveted rewards is causing concern among Guardians. Fans with limited playtime will not be able to get all the catalysts. And until now, it was unclear whether these seasonal rewards would also be available after the end of Season 3.
Now Bungie has clearly addressed this issue.
Faction-specific catalysts available after Season 3
Everyone who is unable to collect all faction catalysts during Season 3 can breathe a sigh of relief.
As Community Manager dmg04 confirmed on Twitter, players will be able to earn the three exotic catalysts for the Workhorse, the Sunshot, and the Graviton Lance even after Season 3 ends. However, dmg04 did not specify how they will be obtained.
Furthermore, he clarified that Bungie currently has no plans to hold a fourth faction rally as part of Season 3.
Recently, there have been increasing calls for a fourth group fight. Because some fans with limited playtime have already realized that they will not be able to get all three catalysts during the three group fights.
Additionally, there is currently a bug that prevents faction gear from being purchased from the respective vendors. Since a complete armor set increases the effective faction token output (you reach Max Renown faster), many fans have also requested at least one more event as compensation.
